We could walk to the Main Street shops and only 5 min drive to the grocery store which was a big plus for our 10-day stay. Also, only a 25 min easy drive to Banff and an hour to Banff and Lake Louise ski resorts. The amenities were nice (hot tub, heated bathroom floors, large TV and own bathroom for every bedroom. Kitchen was well stocked with appliances and utensils. The host was awesome! Emailed him several times with questions/requests and he promptly responded. It was perfect for our group of 8\. They stocked a lot of useful items (e.g. bear spray) and the host was exceptionally communicative (always checking in to make sure we were doing well). A couple things of note - there are a lot of stairs (you certainly get your exercise) and the garage is a little small (one of our cars couldn't fit) but there is a lot of extra parking on the street which they explain. ##### Karin N. With 5 bathrooms, no one was fighting for a mirror or toilet. There are tons of kitchen appliances, making morning coffee a breeze. The decor is tasteful throughout. The floors did not appear to have been washed in the kitchen before our arrival, and the chairs had stains on them, there was also quite a few popcorn kernels in the main living room floor. Besides this and the fact that the lower level actually has a twin bed and not a pull-out couch was the only difference in the listing details. It is located near (almost walking distance) from many of the restaurants, bars, and shops in Canmore. It was extremely well-appointed. We had a group of 8 men and it held us comfortably. Minor issue: no bathroom on the kitchen/living room level. Parking is somewhat limited. It is intended that one car can park in the garage and another in the driveway, however we arrived with 2 very large SUV's (Chevy Suburbans) and were unable to fit either in the garage due to the laundry equipment being stored against the back wall. Smaller vehicles will be fine, and there is plenty of on-street parking. Communication with the host was excellent. Views from the top bedroom are spectacular. The hot tub was great (although a privacy screen to separate it from the other nearby patio's would be nice.) Overall, this was a great unit for a group our size and we highly recommend it. We really loved Canmore and the location of the unit. We enjoyed the privacy of the back of the unit with all of its balconys facing the trees.
