"very relaxing hotel perfect position on the beach"
We went to Candidasa to relax in a lovely location on the beach. We stayed in a Villa with private pool and garden. I have stayed in many villas in Bali and this is one of the best! Fantastic design and spotlessly clean. The staff are a real asset to the hotel , very friendly and accommodating. Our 3 day stay was perfect in every way . We will definitely go back.

The resort is pretty much what it states. The staff were great and attentive they always had a smile and hello.
The pool is small but perfect for a dip to cool down after a day of sight seeing. The food was tasty and not to badly priced. My only real complaint is it is a long walk to anywhere it's up a long narrow driveway so if you want quiet with no traffic noise you wouldn't find much better. The room was nice but does need a comfy chair that's about all that is missing and the room mates are shy small lizards but they don't bother you at all.
We have just returned from a two week holiday at this hotel.
It was fabulous and had everything that's needed for that perfect
Holiday. From start to finish. The staff were very friendly right down to the
Towel men. Food and service was excellent and always with a smile.
The only complaint I would have is that the bathroom could do with an update.
But then again that's not important.
As you arrive at the Watergarden Hotel in Candidasa, it is quite deceiving as the front reception is simple, and small. But what a wonderful treat - as we were lead to our rooms, up a very clean and tidy path through lush gardens, we were very pleased to see our room. Set in a very lush tropical setting, the room was lovely, nice and cool, and we had the joy of spending quite a lot of time relaxing on our verandah feeding out koi. It felt like that we were away from the world, so peaceful.
Staff were wonderful, especially the Orchid Day Spa, where I went every day for a massage and to be pampered and spoilt. Great place to unwind. The Manager there is lovely, and we could not find fault with anyone there, and the prices were excellent.
Staff were always happy and greeted you with a smile, and the meals in the restaurant were great, plenty of variety and staff were very happy to order off the menu as well. They were able to help us with booking a driver to see the sights of East Bali as well as book in a fishing trip in a traditional Balinese boat.
We visited in November in the low season, and had absolutely perfect weather the entire time. Now looking at when we can return.
Lovely room overlooking the pool. Unfortunately we visited during the wet season but the staff were always cheery and extremely polite and helpful. We have visited some hotels that just feel cold but this resort has a homely happy feel even when its raining. We did not stay long but it was memorable.
I only stayed two days - but the room was big and spacious; bed was comfy; bathroom was clean. If you have stayed in older places in Bali before - you know this style. Its a shame they are all being phased out for little pokey roomed places....
This place has been recently taken over, and is set to be demolished. It needs a little bit of TLC, but I thoroughly enjoyed my stay...and would happily stay there again.
This is a very nice hotel in Candidasa. The staff and manager are very nice. The room has a very nice outdoor bathroom. Two things could be improved. The air conditionner does not work well. The breakfast buffet is too simple and food is not hot enough.
"Puri Bagus means "Great Gate" and it certainly is."
For the traveller looking to see more of Bali / Indonesia, this is an incredibly well appointed hotel with very courteous staff and stunningly presented facilities. A short drive away is Padangbai, a departure point for ferries to the eastern islands.

My second time at seabreeze, I booked here again as I enjoyed it so much the first time. It's such a quiet peaceful location. Even when full it doesn't seem very busy, and the villas at the front are so close to the ocean you can hear it from your bed. Staff and rooms are fantastic. I especially love the large front balcony with recliner chairs you can spend hours in, just watching the ocean & relaxing. Staff are attentive to your every need be it food, drinks, bookings or any advice they will do everything to make your stay as pleasant as possible. Thanks Christina & team for a very relaxing week.

A haven of quiet relaxation, the fishing village of Candi Dasa on Amuk Bay is the antitheses of frenetic Kuta to the southwest. With a rocky coastline, most swimming is confined to resort pools, although some of Bali’s best diving and snorkelling is found in this area. Candi Dasa is also a great base from which to explore the historical and cultural sights of the east, including the pre-Hindu village of Tenganan, the sacred baths of Tirtagangga, and Bali's mother temple, Pura Besakih.
