With 5 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, living area separate from kitchen/dining and a double carport, you and your group can make the most of the space that this house affords, all within close proximity to the rest of Canberra. What we love about this home: \- the home is on a quiet cul-de-sac in a family friendly peaceful area. \- the large kitchen opens out onto the deck with large sliding doors that open right up. \- the two largest bedrooms are on a separate wing to the other three bedrooms, affording space and separation for down time. \- there are two bathrooms: the main bathroom with large corner tub and double shower, easily accessible to the 3 smaller rooms (Bedrooms 3, 4, 5). The second bathroom is an ensuite to the Master (Bedroom 1), and it has a second door accessible from the hallway for easy access from Bedroom 2. \- there is a double carport and driveway with space for an extra couple of cars. \- there is A/C in the main living area and gas heating. Bedroom 1: Master bedroom with king bed, ensuite Bedroom 2: Queen bed Bedroom 3: Double bed Bedroom 4: King Single bed Bedroom 5: Single bed There is also a desk off the kitchen area, with desk lamp and free wifi. Guests have full use of the whole house. Please note - there is a separate self-contained granny flat in the backyard. This is separately booked, so we request that guests in the home adhere to the Quiet Hours of 10pm - 8am, particularly if outside or on the patio. The backyard is available for your enjoyment and the use of it is shared with the guests staying in the garden granny flat. (Please - if you are booking for birthdays/parties/loud weekends, this home is NOT the one for you to book and is against our house rules. Please book elsewhere). Chifley is a charming suburb located in the Woden Valley district of Canberra. It offers a peaceful and family-friendly lifestyle within close proximity to essential amenities and natural attractions, making it a highly desirable neighborhood in Canberra. Enjoy access to several parks and green spaces, providing opportunities for outdoor recreation and relaxation. The nearby Mount Taylor Nature Reserve offers walking trails and panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. Chifley boasts a range of amenities to cater to the needs of its residents. The nearby Woden Town Centre provides shopping facilities, supermarkets, restaurants, cafes, and medical services, ensuring convenient access to everyday essentials. Chifley is located 5 minutes drive to the Canberra Hospital and 10/15 minutes to Canberra City Centre. \- If you have an EV, there is a power outlet for you to use in the carport. Please bring along your travel charging cable. \- If you're interested to book the house and the garden flat simultaneously to accommodate more than 8 guests, please enquire directly with us about dates! \- There will be a Refundable Security Deposit held ($300). This isn't a double charge, but a security hold. The hold will take place at the time of booking but will appear on your transactions two days before checkout. Hole in wall near laundry.Old washing machine sitting on back verandah (why leave it there).Back and front yards were disgraceful with over grown weed,burs thought out the yard(if you had children you could not let them play in the back yard lawns not mowed and maintained properly,the presentation of the proper was disgraceful.There were large rocks,concrete form work protruding in the un mowen grass(very large trip hazards for some on to get hurt.When we arrived all rubbish bins were full(were do we put our rubbish, this was attracting vermon.The spare mattress was lousy with mould over it (very large health hazard).Main bathroom towels rail was broken. Main bedroom had inadequate privacy for their poorly designed blind.Wardrod mirrors in main bedroom had stains,dirty marks all over them.Ants thought out the propety.Mould on the tiles in the main shower(health hazard).Spider webs through out the property.The main toilet kept blocking(i had to buy a plunged to fix this problem).The T V kept turning off from WI FI having to re program all the time which was apain in the ass.I would like to have some kind of a refund on this terrible experience which myself and my freinds undured,this property was a bloody discrace.I have taken a large number of photos if you would like to see my proof,if i cant get a refund of some description these photos will go live for everyone to see. ##### Steven M. Unfortunately there were only 2 forks, 2 teaspoons (but plenty of knives & dessertspoons) available. One of the dining room chairs is not safe & the sliding door to the en suite is off the tracks. We found a chocolate bar wrapper under one of the beds and the sheets in the main bedroom did not fit the bed properly. Used gloves & rubbish in the driveway & carport & no/minimal front yard maintenance made the property seem a bit neglected. ##### Barbara S. Beds were on the too soft side but we all slept well. Someone living in the bungalow out the back was a little awkward and the grass and garden needs work. With a little more attention it would be a great place. We arrived early and the cleaners were very friendly, just finishing their clean. The external shade material on the back verandah was in shreds from age and sun. The towels smelt of damp. There were no extra blankets in any of the 5 bedrooms, and the manager brought 2 blankets over in response to our request, mentioning he had 54 properties, implying he was busy. The kitchen bin was moved at one point revealing a lot of dirt underneath. In summary, this house could be better presented to make it a memorable stay. ##### Philip L.
