Beds and furnishings were very comfortable and the setting was quiet and private.The kitchen was well equipped and we were able to have quick access to hiking the Red River Gorge. There is both a gravel drive that takes you to the front porch for access with no steps, and a larger paved driveway Where the house can be accessed by using the steps from the back deck. The front porch has a large picnic table and nearby grill. Back porch has a swing and a nice view of the woods. The house was clean and everything in good working order. The furniture was comfortable. It would have been nice to have screens in the windows and/or screened doors to get a breeze in the house. We traveled with a small dog who is used to going for long walks several times per day. However, there are some large dogs kept in kennels on the road that the house is on. Every time we walked by (often early in the morning and late at night), they made a racket. I felt bad for disturbing the peace in the neighborhood, but that’s dogs. The house is just a few minutes from the business area of Campton, which has a few places to get food, gas and several dollar stores for those things that you forget.
