Beautiful river behind the property and also a 17-acre natural area with hiking trail loops maintained by the Campton Conservation Commission. 10 minutes from Plymouth NH near Univeristy of Plymouth with many restaurants and shops. Covered Bridge Farm Table restaurant featured on Food Network 1 min away or walking distance from cottage. The rigs were disinfected stained. The mattress was cheap and you only got a comforter, no sheets or extra blankets. There was also only one pillow per person. Dead bugs in spider webs, holes in the walls and dirty doors and baseboards didn’t do it any favors. We left early and showered at home. I expect a lot better for 400. ##### Chris E. Séjour de 2 nuits en juillet 2025 ### 6/10 – Acceptable #### Joseph G. 4 août 2025 #### No water pressure for shower Didn't smell clean when we arrived so my girlfriend had to open all the windows to get the stale musty smell out and it hadn't been cleaned in awhile so my girlfriend found spray Lysol cleaner under the kitchen cabinet and cleaned all the kitchen counters, the bathroom, the fridge as it wasn't clean and the coffee pot was old and the warmer on the pot was nasty and rusted and my girlfriend had to scrub it out to use it, Please replace your coffee pot for your next guest, Also the low water pressure was not in the description and we couldn't use the shower due to water was low trickle and no hot water in the shower, had to run the bathroom sink for a good few minutes to wash our bodies up with soap and washcloth which is unacceptable, the kitchen sink had minimal water pressure to wash dishes, We wouldn't have rented if we knew we wouldn't be able to take a shower and the fact it hadn't been cleaned prior to us coming, the sofa needs replaced as it is old and the sofa was all scratched up, my girlfriend used our throw blanket and one from the closet to cover the sofa to sit on it and we washed them, we used our own bedding and our pillows, We didn't use the bedding that was on the bed, we made the bed back up with the bedding that was on it, the cabin was nice sized but needs some updates, the grill worked but wasn't clean so I had to scrub it and we used our foil to cook on it. My girlfriend cleaned the cabin again at checkout. ##### Joseph G. Shower had mold as well.. it did not feel dirty though, the cleaning service did well, fridge stove floors were clean… The trail to the river beach was sketchy.. and not clearly marked as in the photos on the website .. there was a creek that you have to pass over to get to the river beach and Blair wood .. that creek was brown and foamy and draining right down to the river by the beach.. the covered bridge close by was nice.. I did not research well as it was an impromptu trip.. you can hear the traffic from the highway.. and the picture of the view with the rock is not on the property.. there was no directions as to where that was taken.. tv, ac, internet all worked fine.. and the porch was lovely to have a morning coffee on. We recently stayed at this cottage, along with 2 other rentals, for our annual Sisters Weekend. This cottage was clean, cozy, and exactly as described in the description. James was very quick to respond to all of my questions. Having the new large deck made this place the center of all of our family meals and hang out time. Lots of love and laughter was shared around that deck and the community fire pit. We absolutely plan to come back! Thanks for having us, James!! It was a great weekend! ##### DawnMae L. We were delighted to find the beautiful Pemi River just minutes away via a short walk through the woods adjacent to the property. The owners went above and beyond when I asked if it was possible for an early check-in. We were driving up to attend a wedding nearby and wanted to get ready in the cabin and they arranged it!! And What a cute place! Clean, stocked with everything you'd need to clean, cook, do laundry, enjoy time out on the back deck. Pretty grounds. Very nice folks and a comfy clean stay. I'll definitely return in the future but stay longer!!!
