She greeted us with beads and a smile that hooked both my daughter and me. We immediately started a fire in the woodstove and proceeded to the little Colorado river where we hiked til dark. Stayed 1 night in Mar 2019 ### 10/10 Excellent #### Susan R., St. Louis Mar 23, 2019 #### Well-stocked with firewood, lighter, flashlights, warm blankets, playing cards, hand gel,etc. Stayed for 1 night with my 11 yo twin boys on our way to the Grand Canyon. They loved it! Directions provided were clear; we arrived after dark which I probably wouldn’t recommend. Unfortunately it was cloudy so we couldn’t see the stars. Temp in the 30s and we could hear wind buffeting the hogan but it was cozy and warm inside. Yummy breakfast at the Cameron Trading Post. ##### Susan R. Mar 23, 2019 #### Unique, very cool, could use better cots I am glad we experienced this spot, but I think a more comfortable bed would have gone a long way. Also, the stove needs a damper, it was a pretty cold night and our stove went out several times. Jan 26, 2019 #### Unforgettable Exactly what we were looking for, a chance to experience the beautiful Arizona desert where me and my teenage daughter made some great memories. Temperatures were below normal during our stay, single digits but the Hogan was cozy and warm, plenty of firewood was provided as well as other items that made our stay convenient.
