The perfect house for weddings, corporate retreats, family-fun vacations, church and ladies groups and more! The home is secluded and has breathtaking big lake views. It's as if you have your own private luxury hotel. Almost every room in this home has been recently refinished. The main floor has a large gathering space with lots of couches and seating areas, dining spaces for 20 people plus a large, high end-kitchen you'll be excited to cook in. There are 2 bedrooms on this level. Both have king beds and twin over double bunk beds. This level also features a TV room with large pull out couches and a big flat screen television. Off the kitchen there is a large screened-in porch and deck area with ample seating and a propane grill. You will love sitting out enjoying the incredible view. The lower level has a fun and exciting atmosphere! It features a pool table room and a poker table. It also has a large TV area with tons of seating and an extra full kitchen for additional cooking space or for snacks while you are hanging out downstairs. There are 5 bedrooms on this level. A bunk bedroom that all kids will love! The room has 3 sturdy double over double bunks. There is also a cozy queen bedroom and a queen bedroom with a twin over twin bunk bed. There is a full bathroom located off of these rooms. On the other side of this level are 2 more bedrooms featuring a queen size bed with a twin over double bunk bed and a queen size bed and a twin over twin bunk bed. Between these two bedrooms is another full sized bathroom. Lots of folks means lots of laundry. Not a problem. There are also 2 full laundry rooms in this home. Outside the home there is a 800 sq ft. covered patio and a large beautiful fire pit. A great evening hang out! One of the coolest things about this home is the huge commercial-sized dock. There are 2 boat slips and 2 pwc slips. The large boat slip is 18 x 52 and the smaller one is 12 x 32\. The dock is the perfect place to spend your days. It has a flat screen TV above the huge built-in bar and lots of seating. There are stairs to permit you to walk into the water. You can lay out, swim, fish and play music over the extensive speaker system built into the dock. This home has everything you want when you come to the lake. It is truly a luxury home. Have your best lake event yet at the The Birdshack. We originally thought we would have 22 and only had 17\. We would have had plenty of space for all 22\. The little family room off the entrance way was an adorable place for our Christmas gathering. There are individual temperature settings for the main floor and the bottom floor. Once we discovered the one downstairs it really allowed comfort for all. We went in the winter so we did not use the dock but it is very spacious. Even had a fridge and TV. The description and reviews are true about how steep it is to get to the dock but there is a paved path. A good workout. Hosts couldn’t tell us if wood was on site or not, so we brought some, only to pull in and see a standing large pile of wood right on driveway that’s obviously been there for a long time. Leaves were so deep we had to clear them away for doors to close but not one rake, blower or push broom available (these were weeks of leaves),Door handle to get in is broken.MANY!! Lights didn’t work. The ones that do are old, n dim.Patio blinds in both lower bedrooms missing panels and don’t turn to close.Patio doors in lower bedrooms don’t lock.STRANGERS, let themselves in one afternoon!!Can’t open or close any windows( something’s wrong that requires Hercules).Dishwasher isn’t fastened to cabinets n falls out when door is open w rack slid out.Refrigerator has other people’s condiments that take up too much room n nasty.The pots n pans in upper kitchen should be thrown away- they are horrible. Yet- NOT ONE!! Piece of kitchen ware in lower bathroom- not a spoon, knife, cup, plate pan… NOTHING! The upper kitchen drawers are a wreck- unorganized and filthy inside. The coffee pots take an hour to make a pot of coffee from build up. The main kitchen table has ridiculous metal, small chairs that are very uncomfortable, even 2 that should have been thrown out before someone falls off of them as they are broken. The house held our large family really well. We enjoyed the large dock with speakers and refrigerator. House is on main channel of Niagara arm Saturday was too rough to float but it was nice every other day we were there. Our whole group were swimmers so that helped too. The jet ski lifts were both occupied so we weren’t able to park our ski’s on lift so we just tied them up but with rough water it was a little tricky. We really enjoyed our family time and I would recommend this home but highly recommend renting a utility vehicle. To say the hill from lake is steep and long is an understatement. lol. Our party was a total of 18 adults, and we all fit comfortably. The home is beautiful and very comfortable. The one drawback was the treacherous walk from the house to the dock. We had one Senior Citizen with us who unfortunately couldn't join us when we were on the dock because she couldn't get to it. I didn't read any details in the description of the home that mentioned the extremely steep walk down the hill to get to the water.Other than that, the property was terrific, and we had a great time! ##### Carie L. There are a lot of areas to hang out, but as the other people have mentioned in their review, the path to the dock is treacherous. I can't imagine trying to carry a cooler or a child down that path (the trek back up is actually worse). We only went down to the dock once because of the path. They should probably look into some stairs with landings. Other than the path to the lake, the place is great and I would stay there again. ##### David K. There was plenty of room for our group of 20, lots of comfortable seating in 3 different living spaces.There was plenty of room for dining, too. Most bedrooms were good size with comfortable beds. The big pantry closet in the kitchen was great for all are food. The grandkids enjoyed all the games, including the pool table .The walk to the water on the sidewalk is a bit steep but doable if you take it slow. We had 18 guys out for an annual golf trip and this is one of the best houses we've stayed at. Great layout and everyone had their own bed. The dock was amazing and had a great speaker set up as well. If you are looking for a large space for a group gathering, this one would be hard to pass up. Great communication from the owner/property manager before and after the visit. We loved the dock and luckily had a 4 wheel drive vehicle or you wouldn’t be able reach the water without walking down a very steep, precarious path. But we managed and really enjoyed our stay so much. Loved the firepit and screened in porch. The house could have been a little cleaner, and the metal bunk beds were very noisy but the wood ones were great. Kitchen was fully stocked but didn’t have very much silverware for large crowds. Hard to review because of the dichotomy of the experience we had. Please read until the end. The house was wonderful for our big group. Lots of large family areas and huge (if disorganized) kitchen. The pantry was large and well stocked. Most of the bedrooms and bathrooms were wonderful. One bedroom was actually just a closet with no window. The dock area was fantastic. We spent many hours boating and swimming at the dock. We had to bring all of our own water toys as there is nothing available at the house. The screened deck and patio were lovely and enjoyable. There were two main drawbacks to the property. As noted by other reviewers, the hill going down to the dock is BRUTAL. Anyone with mobility or health issues will have trouble going down and up the hill. The biggest complaint we had was with the upkeep of the house. It is a pity that such a great property/house has NOT been kept up. Perhaps it was because our stay was at the end of the summer season but many places were dirty and disappointing. Major problems with cleanliness and upkeep. Some of the things we’re experienced were; Trash under beds from previous occupants Two TVs unusable because remotes were gone Broken kitchen drawer Dirty kitchen cabinets Mouse droppings in kitchen Mouse in master bedroom Broken chairs downstairs Dirty baseboards in many areas Advertised toiletries not there Filthy shower in master bedroom Problems with the induction stove ##### Mark and Kate W. We had a week of memorable times with 4 generations. Just make sure you have a 4 wheel drive vehicle for getting elderly people down to the dock and hauling some of the water toys! Plenty of space to fit our large group! The Dock!! Perfection! Such a large space for everyone to hang out. I read other reviews about the hike up the hill and how awful it was but as to be expected for the lake! The path from the house to the dock was in fantastic condition making the walk very doable and it was a great way to get in a little cardio while consuming so many calories that weekend 😉. But if you are traveling with older adults or someone not able to make the walk there is a very convenient drive that a truck or SUV can pull up right in front of the dock. Wonderful stay!
