About this property
Spacious waterfront home with amazing views, private pier, fishing and crabbing.
We would like to welcome you to our charming getaway. This is the ideal spot for families, friends, or business retreats to escape the hustle of daily life and enjoy nature at its finest. With breathtaking views of the Choptank River, this home will not disappoint! It is also a close drive away from downtown Cambridge for restaurants, bars, art galleries, and shopping. This spacious open floorplan can accommodate 10-12 people with its 3 bedrooms and pull-out sleeper couch, 2 full bathrooms (the master is equipped with a jetted tub!), A/C throughout the house, washer and dryer, and a private pier. The home is also handicap-accessible with ramps in the front and rear and kid friendly as we are providing a high-chair and a pack-n-play crib. Fishing rods, crab cages and lines, paddle board, and two kayaks are all available for your water activities. For the non-water folks, just sit and relax around the firepit, play a game of cornhole, or boardgames! We can't wait for you to visit and enjoy (and love!) the home that we cherish. Many incredible memories are ahead at this Cambridge waterfront!
Pests: In the months of May to July, house flies are plentiful around the Dorchester area and could present a nuisance. There are fly traps set up outside the home to help prevent this. However, some flies will make its way into the house if you leave doors or windows open. Please remember to quickly shut doors when entering or leaving the house. Our pest control person said there is no much that can be done about them outside of traps outdoor which we are doing.
Mosquitoes are a problem everywhere. We have the property treated every 4 weeks to help provide a mosquito free environment for our guests.
Cameras: Please note that we have a camera monitoring the exterior front of the house for security purposes only. In addition, there is another camera monitoring the exterior rear of the house so we can keep on eye the water level during storms.

We had a wonderful stay - house was beautiful, clean and perfect for us. Host was communicative about wheelchair accessibility, and was helpful in providing additional pictures of the spaces. Location was perfect! so beautiful and tranquil. We will happily return!
The property owner was a pleasure to work with. The view is stunning and the house had everything we needed and more. The home is located in a beautiful area and was a quick drive to downtown. Sunrise and sunset over the water was absolutely beautiful.
Great host! Wonderful communication! Beautiful property! We would definitely stay here again!!! Recommend to anyone looking for tranquility and relaxation!
Great property just as described by host. Host was very prompt with any questions prior to the trip. Crabbing was the best I ever had caught over 100 in 3 days right from private pier.
My family and I have stayed at several rentals through the years and this is by far the best. The owners are incredibly responsive and went above and beyond in making the house work for us as we have someone in power wheelchair in our party. The house was SO clean, kitchen has all that’s needed and the water views / access can’t be beat. Highly recommend this rental and we will be back!

The house is everything needed for a weekend getaway, with modern amenities and beautiful grounds. The pier offered great fishing and crabbing. Owner communicated timely and thoroughly. The breakfast burrito at the local convenient store/restaurant is delicious. This is a place we can come back to.

House of flies!!
Opened door with about 200 or more flies! Had to buy18 fly traps filled everyone, 1 tv small for room, kitchen was very small could only fit 2 at a time. Ladder on dock was in very poor condition and loose. I give 2 stars, one for view and one for kayaks and paddle boards.
This was a nice place to sneak away from the Northern VA area. It’s not a bad commute (about 2.5 hrs) but plan around the traffic. The house was nice and clean and great for our needs. We had two families plus grandparents - a total of 6 adults and 4 kids - and there was plenty of room. The pier offered good fishing and crabbing. We went in mid June and caught a lot of white perches, spots and rock fish. There were a lot of skates/sting rays too also, which the kids loved but I’m not a huge fan of. We didn’t have much luck with crabbing but the home offered a lot of crab nets. Bugs were a bit of a problem but kept at bay with bug spray and weren’t a problem when there was a nice breeze. We planned on exploring the area but mainly stayed at the house because the kids enjoyed the pier so much. We did venture out to buy crabs - and they were delicious.
Loved the property and views. There were some quirky things about the property (showerheads and rear door )but it didn’t diminish how accommodating the house is and the views. Really appreciated all of the kitchen utensils and kayaks.
A wonderful home on a spectacular waterfront property for all ages to enjoy! Whether you're into crabbing off the dock, fishing or just taking in the gorgeous waterfront scenery this home offers from every room, this home is just perfect!
We did not use the watertoys provided as it was too chilly, but we certainly got a lot of use out of the dock.
Just sitting birdwatching in their natural habitat , or taking in the sunsets, the Moonrise and sunrises were peacefully breathtaking!
Well appointed w/ all amentities suited all of us from ages 3-83.
The owner provided prompt messaging when needed. This home was immaculate. The crabbing & fishing gear and kitchen amentities were greatly appreciated! Just Fabulous!
My family and I loved our stay. House was beautiful and well equipped. View was gorgeous. Place offers fishing right off the dock and crabbing. The teens used the paddle board and kayak and had a blast. It was clean and spacious. All in all we had an amazing time and another summer full of great memories was mad. Thank you!!
Amazing! PS For any wheelchair-using guests the front ramp, front door and back ramp are not on-grade so please plan accordingly and bring your own portable ramps and/or communicate with host.
The view when you first arrive is so impressive but when you open the front door it takes your breath away. The home is large with several fireplaces. On my stay which was cold, the living room fireplace didn't work, which was a bummer so had to use blankets. But the view outside! The water smelled horrible. Guess that comes from being on well water. So couldn't enjoy the jacuzzi tube in which I was dying to use seeing that it had a electric fireplace in the bathroom. But the view!! The home and property is large enough so people won't be on top of each other. There's no "separate" primary suite so to say. I mean there is but it has two large beds in it but the view from that room is amazing! The host stayed in contact.... oh before I forget there was an amazing dog that came around to check on us when we where outside. Just topped the trip off. But back to what I was saying the host seemed nice through text messages stayed in contact and answered questions...ps..I think that was his dog. But overall the view is not your typical river view you feel more like your "setting on the dock of the bay watching the time roll away". See what I did there. Lol! so it's worth the stay even though I didn't get to enjoy EVERYTHING it had to offer. Just do it! I hope to be back soon.
We spent a long weekend at this very clean and very impressive waterfront property. Crabbing, fishing, eagle watching, grilling, paddle boarding and way more fun comes with this rental. The owner was responsive and very accommodating. We all enjoyed our mini vacation. Definitely will stay there again! Thank you!!!
Stayed here with friends and family for the 2021 Ironman race. I enjoyed it so much that I’d come back again. The house was immaculately clean and the views and outdoor spaces were gorgeous. We saw three bald eagle in the matter of minutes sitting on the dock. Would love to come back again and try some of the water equipment! Hosts were lovely with excellent communication throughout!
I hosted about 8 of my friends for a girl's weekend and we all had such a great time. The property was perfect for our weekend away. The water view which can be seen from anywhere in the house is truly spectacular and if you like stars you will see plenty of them at night. The location is peaceful and quiet and the house was clean and ready for us upon arrival. The check-in process was seamless and very easy to use when entering and leaving the property. There is plenty of parking in the driveway and upon walking into the house you just feel at ease especially with the cathedral ceilings. The view from the master bedroom was breathtaking. We explored Cambridge which is only about 20 minutes away, and St Michaels which was about 50 minutes so there are many options for day trips. We cooked most of our meals and there is a BBQ ready for use. We did not have the opportunity to use the water toys or fish but everything was in the garage ready for use and there is a wood burning firepit. We spent the bulk of our time out on the back patio and dock just enjoying the view eating and drinking! The hosts are very responsive to answer any questions you may have and you receive a very detailed house manual that was very helpful! I am looking forward to hopefully returning to this property again in the future! Highly recommend!
