It was close to downtown Cambria and a few hiking trails. As well as close to other locations for visiting tourist sites, shopping and hiking. The apartment was fully stocked with dishes, towels, etc. (We didn't need a thing) It had a washer and dryer so we were able to continue our trip with clean clothes. Only about 15 minutes from Hearst Castle, 5 minutes from downtown Cambria where all the eateries are. It was a very short walk to the large Fiscalini preserve, which provides numerous walks/hikes that span forest and coastline. Absolutely beautiful. Alex was super responsive and provided us tips on where to go and where to eat. We had one minor issue during our stay that he helped resolve immediately. In addition to Cambria, the location was a perfect base for us to visit Hearst Castle, Paso Robles, and Morro Bay. One hint:pack lots of layers. The check-in process was easy - Alex even sends a video so you can see how to get to the entry. The rooms were clean and spacious, and we loved the deck and the beautiful, wide view from the living room windows. It was really nice to have a full kitchen, with refrigerator, oven, microwave, and sink. The location is great. Even though it's on a corner and Ardath Street does have a fair amount of traffic, it was never noisy or distracting. The Fiscalini Preserve is easily close enough to walk to and the property is a quick drive from businesses and restaurants in Cambria and close to Cayucos and Morro Bay. Alex is a perfect host, who communicates well and makes sure your needs are met, while still respecting your privacy. We loved our stay and want to return soon. ##### Kirk R. We were very happy with this location. It was very quiet and easy to find. We were given detailed instructions before we arrived so that we knew exactly how to get into the property. Everything was very clean and comfortable. The pictures were an accurate portrayal of what you will get. We were there without our children, however we would have been comfortable with our two teenagers for a couple of nights. The hosts gave us a lot of great ideas for things to do in and around Cambria, which we really appreciated. Cambria is a fun seaside town, and the beach there is a fun one to walk. This Cottage had everything we needed. Super clean and spacious. Within minutes we had our luggage put away in the large closet, bathroom (double sink), and dresser. But here's the best part...our host, Alex was generous and attentive. The TV's had every channel or App you needed to watch movies or your favorite shows. Incredible tranquility and quiet. We slept wonderfully on the King Size bed. Parking was "right there" and safe. Think about it - most hotels require parking fees, but not Cambria Weekend Magic. We made breakfast each morning and saved on going out. Minutes from Moonstone Beach and Downtown Cambria, as well as the wonderful stores, shops, and restaurants. On Friday night, kick it at the Cambria Lodge for Live music and dancing. I am in the 90th percentile of GOOGLE reviews. And I should not be telling you all this, but this is my highest VRBO recommendation. Everything worked. The unit was immaculately cleaned, well appointed, and much more spacious than online pictures would suggest. There is a separate entrance into a fairly large, relaxing courtyard. A private entrance to the house from this area takes you to a room on the first level which serves as both a laundry room as well as an extra bedroom with a small bed. Walk up one flight of stairs and you are in the main living area with a comfortable couch, a full kitchen, a dining table that seats two, and a pleasant balcony to watch the sunset and have a glass of wine. The bedroom was much larger than anticipated with a very comfortable king-size bed and an adjacent bathroom with a shower/two sinks. The hiking trails were less than a five-minute walk away and downtown Cambria was only a 6 minute drive. It was also nice to have a TV with Netflix.
