This property is a perfect blend of rural, coastal and tranquility. Sitting on a commanding promontory 800 feet above the valleys that surround it, this two bedroom ranch home has epic views in every direction. The folds of the commanding Santa Lucia Mountains back Cinnabar Ranch and the Pacific Ocean sets the western panorama with 40 miles of wild coastline on view. Located on 80 private acres, there is both room to roam and space to gain from the rest of the world. You could have a perfectly lovely stay without ever leaving the property, but if the allure of the town (Cambria), the coast or Hearst Castle call to you, everything is just a brief drive away. You'll want to be back here for at least one sunset as the location is set up to provide quite a show. At the ranch the night sky is typically deep black and spectacularly full of stars. Enjoy a glass of wine on the patio and reminisce about the day. A nature walk from the house can be a fine activity. See cows grazing down in the valley, critters roaming the grounds, or hawks and vultures circling overhead. Board game inside or yard game outside? How about a hammock and a good book? For more modern engagements, there is high speed internet and TV. Within a very short drive you can enjoy local wine tasting, horseback riding and so much more. The quaint town of Cambria has a variety of restaurants, unique shops and art galleries. Elegant, striking, comfortable for two couples. Everything was exactly what one looks for in a VRBO rental. Well stocked, well maintained, everything functional. To be honest, I don't believe I've ever been in a quieter location. Off the main road, Cinnabar Ranch is the perfect place to get away from it all. The well appointed kitchen had everything we needed to cook our own meals - and with the most incredible views! The grill on the patio is easily accessed for multitasking dinner prep. We appreciated the layout of the home with bedrooms at either end for complete privacy. The beds were very comfy! Being avid bird watchers, we were amazed at the number of species observed. California quail are in abundance here, as are black chinned hummingbirds, California towhees, and turkey vultures circling above. We also met a male California brown tarantula on an early evening stroll. We are already looking at our calendars to plan our next trip here - certainly an exceptionally special place in Cambria. 10 stars out of 5! ##### Rich S. The home is everything you can imagine based on the wonderful pictures, just stunning in person. The home was very clean and ready for our use, especially appreciated a well stocked kitchen, we love to cook. Just loved the town of Cambria and our Julia Morgan tour of Hearst Castle. Keeping this short I will finish by simply saying you won't be disappointed. Thank you to the owners for sharing this amazing place. ##### Robert L.
