(713 reviews) We are regulars to the SLO area, and rarely stay in hotels. Stayed here for a weekend trip for a wedding and it was great! Clean, big rooms. Our room was off the common area, but it was not loud at all. We had a private patio off our room. It's an old building, so don't expect the most modern rooms and amenities. If you're alright with that, I highly recommend staying at Garden Street Inn.
