Tucked away in the Cornish countryside yet only a short drive from the miles of sandy beaches surrounding St Ives Bay, this beautifully spacious property is packed with creature comforts, and lends itself perfectly to glamorous gatherings and carefree multi-generational family holidays. Amongst its many assets, the house has vast verdant views from nearly every room, a log burner in the living room, a self-contained games room, a sprawling garden with three sun-drenched terraces, a bbq, hot tub, and a drive for 5 cars. Set over two floors, guests can pick from four tastefully appointed bedrooms, all light-filled and airy with ultra comfy beds. Three are on the top floor and include a twin room with beds that be joined to form a super king on request. The two remaining rooms on this floor are both kings, one of which is the master with its own big en-suite bathroom and double shower. The fourth is a super king bedroom on the ground floor which has access to one of two luxury family bathrooms (the second being upstairs). The bed in this room can be separated into twins on request. Designed for socialising and entertaining, the heart of the home is on the ground floor where you’ll find a sumptuous living room with log-burner and sliding doors out to the garden, and a massive kitchen which has been fitted with top notch appliances. A beautiful big dining table completes the space so guests can cook, eat and unwind in complete comfort. Ideal for making the most of the area’s sandy beaches, holidays at Highfield Barton centre around the coast with Gwithian, Godrevy and Upton Towans being around 15-minutes’ drive, and Carbis Bay about 25 minutes. St Ives with its galleries, independent shops, restaurants, harbour and beaches is half an hour away. Good Housekeeping Bond We ask our guests for a £250 good housekeeping bond, which is pre-authorised against your card. This is in case there is any damage to the property during your stay. The money is simply reserved and then released afterwards if there is no claim. We will contact you nearer the time of your arrival to arrange this. Pets: 2 Pets allowed. Please advise the Luxury Coastal team directly if you would like us to host your pet after completing your booking. A charge of £40 per pet per stay/week will be applicable and required before your stay. We will arrange and invoice with you directly upon booking confirmation. Please note that Highfield Barton is situated within a quiet hamlet. The lay out of the property with generous bedrooms and bathrooms, including the downstairs bedroom, worked really well for a multi generation group. The kitchen was very well equipped, but did not include any extras such as hand wash, salt & pepper, oil etc, that we have had in other properties. Milk, teabags and cookies were provided which was very welcome while we waited for the supermarket delivery. There were only a 3 tea towels which were not adequate for a party of 8 so we constantly washed them through. The games room, hot tub and gardens kept everyone entertained. We had a Tesco delivery so had no need of local shops, but the town centre was just a few minutes drive. The setting was very quiet and the ample parking accommodated 4 vehicles easily. The property would benefit from some hooks in the bathrooms for wet towels and in the bedrooms for dressing gowns, bags etc. Only one key was provided so the last person to leave had to remember to put it in the key safe each time we went out, so that we could all access the property.
