It was the perfect location for exploring the beautiful peninsula and made for a great home base. Loved that it was dog friendly.. the cement patio was great and fire pit helped keep the bugs away. Cabins are modern with big shower and hot water but are still so cozy… the glass sliding doors looking into the woods was key to feeling like you are alone in the woods. It’s walking distance to the snow show trails and short drive to mt Bohemia. We loved the proximity to calumet Main Street for good food and coffee. The cabin is modern and cozy. It was perfectly suitable for us doing the great bear chase. Location was excellent. Two things I would recommend to make it even better would be a grab bar in the shower. They are private, allowing beautiful views of the forest. The outdoor patios have a firepit - be sure to bring matches and fire starting materials. The compact kitchenette has a mini fridge and microwave, as well as a small sink shared with the bathroom. The decor is modern and comfortable, as is the bed. Perfect as a base camp, 40 minutes from Copper Harbor. We enjoyed the mountain bike trails as well in Calumet, where the trail head is a short bike ride away from the cabin.
