There’s no better way to experience the wonders of Calpe than with a stay at Villa Matthias. A traditional gem painted with a light-peach exterior, you’re instantly drawn to the spacious outdoor terrace, backed by an impressive view over Penyal d'Ifac. Escape the heat with a dip in the expansive swimming pool, followed by a relaxing siesta on one of the surrounding sun loungers or on the sofa under the shaded pergola. Soaked in the gorgeous climate of the Costa Blanca, dining outside is a must, with a dining area and barbecue set up for lunch under the sunshine. Get a better look at the sublime views of Calpe on the roof terrace, where you can relax with a glass of sangria and gaze out over the panoramas. There’s even a table tennis set for a little family-friendly competition.   
 The living space is a tasteful mix of traditional meets contemporary, supported by large archways that enhance the openness of the layout. Slick and spacious, the kitchen is finished in a contemporary style and has ample worktop space to cook up a feast or two. A cosy retreat for a small family, across the villa are quaint double and twin bedrooms. The location is something else; set in the middle of the bustling resort of Calpe, you’re just a short walk away from its busy streets.
