Excellent hotel walking distance to The Saddledome

Posted 18-Sep-2016
Pros: decor and staff
Cons: on second floor stairs in the middle of hallway so could not use trolly the whole way to the room
Location: Restaurants galore within walking distance, other than in the hotel itself.
Great ambience. Great decor. Excellent restaurants and poolside lounge. Staff were amazing.

Everything was good, except my room key wouldn't work and I had to go back to the front desk four times in one day

Pros: Great beds and rain shower.
Everyone was very friendly. Great service, clean rooms, affordable weekend parking, close to an excellent grocery store (Sunterra) and many other restaurants and shops.

This is a pleasant and fun hotel. It actually has some interesting art sprinkled around the hotel. The room was very comfortable, the wi-fi was good, and the parking was well thought out for an urban hotel ($10 self park, $20 valet park). It is underground and under the hotel. It is a short walk to 8th Avenue where a lot of the shopping and restaurants are located. Couple of small things: the towels are thin and probably worn down. For a nice hotel, a thicker shower towel is expected. I had to use a second towel, and I am not a big person. Also, the bathroom floor in room 1106 was not cleaned before we arrived. There were a lot of long dark curly hairs on the floor that I had to wipe up. The rest of the bathroom was fine however. The people at the front desk were great. Informative and pleasant. I would stay again.

great hotel in Calgary

Posted 7-Aug-2016
we so enjoyed everything about Hotel Arts. The ambience is really lovely- very comfortable and friendly and interesting art pieces dotted around. The pool courtyard area is very nice. both restaurants are excellent and we particularly enjoyed the food and vibe of the Raw Bar. Our room and bed was very comfy but we longed to be able to make a nice cup of tea in the room. Only coffee available. All very clean and furnished nicely, the rooms on our floor being recently renovated.

Super Hotel mit guter Ausstattung und Flair

Posted 1-Aug-2016
Pros: Alles!

Pros: Central location, outdoor pool and courtyard, excellent restaurants.
Location: Within walking distance to great restaurants such as Native Tongues and Ten Foot Henry and very cool cocktail lounges. Close to theatres and venues.
Trendy, well-appointed hotel in a very happening part of the Beltline/Downtown. Good amenities, particularly the outdoor pool and courtyard. Great cocktails and food available from the Raw Bar and The Yellow Door Bistro.
