Lovely hotel

Pros: Cleanliness, proximity to Saddledome, great beds, balcony
Cons: Cafe for regular people
Location: Downtown location , close to Saddledome, shopping and most things
More than we expected. Great overnight stay for 4 of us going to concert at Saddledome. Wonderful staff, restaurants in hotel a bit high brow for our taste but not a real drawback.

Don't be fooled by the snazzy website

Pros: The front of house staff
Cons: Cleanliness and general upkeep in the rooms
The best part of the stay was the staff who were for the most part pleasant. The view from my room, attempted to be masked by plastic etched film to the 5' height on the window, was of the noisy HVAC units. When I finally arrived at my room after a series of corners, stairs and long uneven-floored skinny hallways I was greeted by stained carpets and walls. There were globs of long dark hair in the sink drain and in the corner of the shower. There were greasy finger prints and glass ring stains on the night stands and desk. Around the edges of the room there was a think layer of dust and signs of past guests' bodily fluids on the headboard. The sink in the bathroom would not dispense cold water and the shower water temperatures fluctuated up and down making the experience most unpleasant. When I did express my disappointment at the front desk the agent was kind enough to buy my breakfast, which I enjoyed.

One day stop over before heading out of Calgary after spending a week in Banff. Very happy with my hotel choice. Room was spacious, updated and clean. Highly recommend.
