Reserve a deluxe room

Posted 16-Apr-2016
I've stayed at the Hotel Arts a number of times in a deluxe room and always been very satisfied. The beautiful lobby, spacious and tasteful rooms, perfect location and attentive staff all make it my number one choice in Calgary. However, my most recent visit was booked last minute and only standard rooms were available. While it was certainly clean and quiet, there was a considerable difference between it and the deluxe category both in terms of size and decor. It was like an entirely different hotel. The room had dark, drab decor only one bedside table. I also found it ironic that despite the hotel's name, my room did not have a single piece of artwork. That alone plus a lighter wallpaper would go a long way to improving the appeal. I'm ot sure I would stay here again unless I could stay in a deluxe category room.

Nice renovated hotel. Lovely interior decor in the lobby and restaurants. Our room was comfortable, clean, and soundproof with a good view of the Calgary skyline. Great location downtown close to many restaurants and amenities

Exceeded all expectations

This hotel was phenomenonal, the the decor, and the 2 restaurants downstairs I have nothing but good things to say. Room were very contemporary which I like and the hotel is right downtown in the heart of Calgary. If I had one complaint the only thing I could say is the parking/ valet parking was overpriced.

Nice Hotel overall

I just think that they should add more art to the hotel if they want to call it as 'Hotel Arts'. Otherwise it nice, staff are friendly. :)

Nice hotel centrally located

Posted 19-Mar-2016
Pros: Clean, beds comfortable, well situated.
Cons: Heating system, quieter air conditioner
Location: Close to downtown,17th Avenue, and freeways
The hotel and room were very nice, clean and well kept. One problem was our room was very warm. The hotel engineer did come to explain the thermostat however in order to keep the room cool the air conditioner had to be out on and it was noisy so we didn't keep it on all night. Then of course the room was too warm to sleep well.

Great downtown location

Nice hotel, staff were very friendly. They supply a great line of shampoo conditioner and lotions that you can also purchase to take home. Would have liked the room to have a fridge but didn't realize you had to request one. Keurig coffee machine in the room but they need to supply cream instead of generic whitener :)

Very comfortable and beautiful.

Pros: Cleanliness and decor.
Location: it's quite central to many of the things Calgary is known for - the Stampede, the Glenbow, the Saddledome, for example.
During my stay in Calgary I got sick and had to stay in my room for several days to recuperate. It was just as comfortable as home - better, because there was room service.

Parking?

Posted 10-Mar-2016
Cons: parking clarity
So I pulled up to the hotel. Valet offered to park my car but I decided to myself. I went around the block. Someone should have just told me where to park in the first place when I booked even. A waste of time. got into the parkade and was given a ticket. Wasn't sure if parking was free or not. When I left the next day I had to go back and forth from my car because I did not need the ticket. I needed my roomkey to get out. They need to be very clear about what is required for hotel guests on their signs for parking. all the signs are for non hotel guests. It was a nice hotel. I hope this feedback saves the next person from going through what I did. Be clear. Its your policy. We are your guests. Dont confuse us.
