I thought I would try this newer hotel, instead of one of the more established downtown options. The room was nicely designed, the bed was comfortable, and the kitchen convenient.
However, when we got to the heated underground parking lot, it was filthy, with a winter's worth if road debris, dust, and garbage, and it smelled strongly of a plumbing issues. The same flattened beer can and other miscellaneous garbage which was present when we arrived was still there when we left. Then going upstairs, only one of the two elevators was available for use.
At night, noise from the neighboring room, and the C-train directly outside the window of the room made it difficult to get to sleep.
Overall this hotel was okay, but the excellent rates and newly constructed building did not make up for the issues I experienced. Next time I am in Calgary I will return to one of the estabilished hotels who I know can provide a clean and well maintained environment.
