Desk staff should have been aware of problem.
Our first 2 nights at the hotel, 2/26-28, were fine. However, we were awakened at 4:30 AM by voices from outside. I thought initially that they were outside our door, but after investigating, found out they were out in the balcony between the rooms smoking and yacking away. Since there was no doorway from our room onto the balcony, I had to repeatedly knock on the window until they got the messege and moved further on down the balcony away from the area. I thought that this was just a temporary incident so I did not complain to the front desk. However, the same thing happened the next night starting a 4:30 AM until they left loudly at 6:30 AM, which was our last day. This time I definitely complained to the front desk, at which time I was informed that the room was used by outside maintainance crews for the previous month and that there were previous compaints about this. Why was this not made aware to previous guests of our room, or remedied in the meantime?
