We are outdoor and antique enthusiasts. We craved a peaceful and comfortable home in the woods where we could relax, nap, cook, be near wildlife, and play outdoors all day. We found that and so much more at Lynnhaven!
Lynn's home is, frankly, just rad. We loved the antiques, the hanging baskets, and the many woodsy touches that made us feel connected to the outdoors. There was more to look at each time we turned our heads or rounded a corner, yet it was spacious and in no way cluttered. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with cookware. There were many nooks and crannies to tuck oneself into with a book. We stayed cool inside in August, and did not miss air conditioning. I'm not a morning person, but I practically bounded out of bed each morning so I could enjoy every moment.
There was a ton of nature to explore right at and around the property. We didn't use our car once during our stay. We stomped around the nearby field in a breathtaking valley. We waded and played in the cold creek there for hours. We watched the deer at dusk in the field. We sipped coffee in the sun porch and watched birds swooping all around. We made a small bonfire and told scary stories and listened to coyotes. Our son laughed heartily at the comical little chipmunks running up and down the grass. He stayed up late catching and releasing lightening bugs. We hiked the back path along a tunnel of trees to Beaver Creek Valley State Park, and enjoyed the flowering valley there and very nice creek access. The trout were huge!
What a gem. Thank you, Lynn, for sharing this home with us! We will be back.
