Rented for the first time in 2017, everything is new: furniture, mattresses, linens, dishes, electro, ... However, the bathrooms have remained "in their juice" and are "old fashion" up to the plastic curtains in the showers. The "Quinta da princesa Barbara" is located "rua da Fonte", the "rue de la Fontaine", fountain actually present a little further. This street is itself located in the hamlet of Cabeço da Vella, freguesia (section of municipality) of Serra do Bouro, municipality of Caldas da Rainha (the Queen's baths), in the heart of the "Costa de Prata", the "Silver Coast" or "Silver Coast". It has all modern comforts but also satellite TV, WIFI internet connection, dishwasher, washing machine, electric dryer, fridge and a freezer, a temporarily gas stove and an electric oven, a microwave, a hairdryer, an iron, central heating by heat pump, etc. Sheets, towels, tea towels, tablecloths, ... are provided. The bedding is new and the mattresses are particularly thick. The house is strictly non-smoking. There are a dozen steps to climb between the street and the house so, unfortunately, it is not accessible to people with disabilities. A cleaning is included at the end of the stay and if you wish, a trusted person can clean the house once or several times a week. There are 6 bedrooms. All rooms are equipped with two twin beds, a chest of drawers, two chairs, a luggage rack and a wardrobe. There are also two extra beds in one of the two large bedrooms. There is a classic bathroom and three shower rooms. There is also a kitchen-dining room with an extended family table for up to 12 people (but you would prefer to eat outside) and a very beautiful covered terrace (so in the shade) on the front, equipped with a huge table with two benches + the traditional barbecue. Opposite the house is a large, unheated swimming pool with Portuguese mosaics. Eight deckchairs and six garden chairs complete the equipment. Table football is placed on the terrace. The property of approximately 1000 square meters, located in a rural environment, is completely private ensuring total privacy. There is not the slightest wind around the pool or in the garden which is a plus in Portugal in a region which may be quite windy. The "privacy" side is one of the key elements of this house. The garden is lush and well shaded. To visit in the region: Quinta da princesa Barbara is located 4 km from Foz do Arelho beach (the largest lagoon in Europe), 4 km from the first restaurants, 5 km from Sao Martinho do Porto beach (magnificent bay protected from the waves, ideal beach for children), 5 km from the A8 motorway, 5km from Pingo Doce, the most interesting department store chain in Portugal, 6 km from Caldas da Rainha (large city of 52,000 inhabitants) where there are, next to the typical shopping center, all the department stores, cinemas, famous ceramics, ...), 17 km from Óbidos (small intact medieval town protected by imposing ramparts, one of the 7 wonders from Portugal which is currently awaiting its classification by UNESCO as a world heritage site for humanity), 36 km from Alcobaça (burial town of Ines de Castro, the "Dead Queen" of Henri de Montherlant, a world heritage site mankind), 39 km from Peniche (near-westernmost point of all of continental Europe, departure port for the excursion to the Berlengas archipelago nature reserve), 40 km from Nazaré (the largest beach in central Portugal, surfer's paradise, the highest waves of Europe), 67 km from the monastery of Batalha (world heritage of humanity, mausoleum of the kings of Portugal on the scene of the decisive victory of the Portuguese against the Castilians in 1385), 80 km from the National Palace of Mafra (Versailles Portuguese, built by 50,000 workers for 13 years) 83 km from Fatima (the city of the apparitions of the Virgin in 1917), 96 km from Lisbon International Airport, 101 km from the Portuguese capital itself , 108 km from Sintra (World Heritage City of Humanity), 117 km from Cascais and Estoril (the luxurious seaside resorts with sumptuous palaces but from another era, land of exile of the royal families of Spain , Italy and Bulgaria), 132 km from Coimbra (very old university town, world heritage site) ... It was the perfect place for our group of 11 people, the pool was a refreshing way to end each day and relax as a family around the outdoor dining area each night. The bedrooms are very clean and comfortable and hosts a large group well. The host even left a handful of local items for us upon check-in which was extremely thoughtful. The house offers plenty of space for the whole family and is equipped with everything we need for cooking. The swimming pool is fantastic, as it is sunlit all day and never in the shade, making the water pleasantly warm in the afternoon and perfect for relaxing. The children love the pool. The whole family was there to celebrate my parents’ 80th birthdays and it was perfect. The house is stunning and extremely well appointed. It has everything you could possibly need. We had so much fun in the pool and wonderful evenings on the outdoor terrace eating the amazing barbecues we cooked. I cannot recommend the Quinta enough. We absolutely loved it! Raymond and Maria were so helpful and the bedrooms were all so beautiful and comfortable. The location is brilliant - close to wonderful beaches at Foz and Sai Martinho. Thank you! We would like to thank Štěpán for making his house available to us. The property is located just 7 minutes from Foz do Arelho, and can be reached quickly and easily with children. If you need an alternative to the beach, you will find it in the pool. The pool is always on the sunny side and invites you to swim all day long... and is really a lot of fun. The house is superbly equipped... with comfortable mattresses and beds, the kitchen has everything you need to host friends and family. And here, too, no savings were made: the dishes, the glasses, the pots, everything is very beautiful and as good as new. In the living room we could end the cool evenings in the evening or sit relaxed on the terrace. Dear guests, treat "Quinta da Princesa Barabara" well as if it were your own. Local tranquilo e de ar puro. Quartos com bastante espaço e cozinha bem equipada. Varanda grande para um bom churrasco em família e área externa com piscina e jardim excepcional. Maison très bien conçue pour accueillir 13 personnes, avec une belle piscine qui a fait le plaisir des jeunes et des moins jeunes, idéalement située à proximité de la mer et des sites tels Péniche, Nazaré, et à seulement 1h de Lisbonne. La maison est spacieuse ,bien équipée ,rien ne manque. Nous avons beaucoup vecu à l’extérieur ,bien à l’abri du vent.La piscine a été très appréciée. La villa est parfaite pour un séjour entre amis ou en famille. Elle est très bien équipée, confortable, la piscine est très agréable et le jardin très joli. En plus de cela, elle est parfaitement située pour rayonner dans la région : Lisbonne, obidos, nazare..... Raymond vous accueille avec une grande gentillesse.
