The rooms were pretty good and clean. The swimming pool was clean and well maintained. Overall a very good experience staying here. The reception staff also gives discount coupons for cairns attractions like thec rocodile tour etc so make sure to ask for that. One small shortcoming was not having the flexibility to extend the checkout. We requested for checkout to be moved by just one hour but received a stern no and they wanted us to vacate at 10 AM sharp. Specifically rang after making booking to advise required twin beds and advised no problem but arrived to find 1 bed but they did make up a room with twin beds.The room was on the Water Street frontage and with a new construction opposite the noise of trucks etc started before 5am. The main tourist area is about half an hour walk away, however, here are cafes nearby. It is a nice walk in the evenings while it is cooler. The hotel has a nice sized pool which has shade.
