It is also quite centrally located; Cairns is about 20 minutes, the Atherton tablelands about an hour and the daintree about an hour and a half away- all easy day trips. There is also a nice walk along the river at the back of the property. The airport is only 18 minutes away, which we found very convenient at the end of our stay. Lovely walk along a river right next to the property. The owners are lovely and we really appreciated the thoughtful touches. My husband loved sitting on the deck at dusk, listening to the birds. It was great having a place so close to town and yet in the country too. Ducks, chickens, dogs and a peacock! We had our own bath and entrance so didn't worry about disturbing the owners. They made sure everything was available to us from drinks to cooking supplies. Close to the falls and on a creek with a great walking path that goes forever. Big comfy room, beautiful bath and great internet. Also it was great having a/c and a ceiling fan. Be sure to keep all food in fridge to avoid sugar ants.
