This single-storey detached cottage in Caherdaniel sleeps up to five people in two bedrooms.

The Bay is a single-storey detached cottage on the edge of Caherdaniel, with views towards Derrynane beach and the sea. The cottage has a double with en-suite and a twin room. There is a family bathroom, and an open plan living area with kitchen, dining area and sitting area. Outside is off road parking for two cars, and a lawned garden with patio, furniture, BBQ and views towards the sea. The Bay is ideally placed for exploring the Kerry Way, Skellig Islands, Derrynane House and National Park and more.

Amenities: Oil central heating with open fire in sitting area. Electric oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, TV with Freeview, DVD. Fuel, power and starter pack for open fire inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Cot and highchair on request. Off road parking for 2 cars. Front garden with patio, furniture and BBQ. Rear patio with furniture. One well-behaved dog welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Shop and pub 7 mins walk. Note: Max. 4 adults.

Region: County Kerry is a mystical and unspoilt part of Ireland, with spectacular natural beauty and a fascinating history. Facing the Atlantic Ocean, it features many sandy beaches, rocky inlets and stunning peninsulas.

Town: The traditional village of Caherdaniel is locatedon the south western corner of the 'Ring of Kerry' in County Kerry. Dating back over 2,000 years, this village was once a thriving copper mining community. With a magnificent coastal setting this wonderful village is perfectly placed for exploring all of the attractions in this popular part of Ireland, including 'The Kerry Way' - a popular, well-marked walking route. Less than two miles away is Derrynane, which offers facilities for an abundance of sea sports, Derrynane House and the National Park. The beautiful town of Kenmare is also very close by and can be reached in under an hour. With a fantastic variety of shops, pubs and restaurants, this is a great place for a day out. Nature lovers can enjoy a visit to Valentia Island, located in the north west corner of the Ring of Kerry. Valentia boasts stunning sea cliffs overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, as well as excellent walking and climbing routes.

Just outside the village of Caherdaniel, this home is up a small drive situated with a stunning view of Derrynane Bay. The house is well equipped and nicely laid out, with a bright open plan kitchen and living area with large windows letting in the light and view. The bedrooms are comfortable and equipped with storage, and each bedroom has a separate bath. The house warms up quickly with central heating. John is the kindest host, making us welcome and comfortable. He lives nearby and was attentive to my questions while also giving us privacy. And his donkey Rudy stole my friend's heart. Next time I am in the area, I will be checking to see if John's place is available!

Couldn’t fault this cottage. Peaceful with stunning views. Cottage was spotless with comfortable beds and was warm and cosy. Just was fabulous, always available if you needed them without being intrusive. Highly recommend.

Wonderful place with breathtaking views

The place was really comfy and had everything we needed. Lovely freshly picked flowers along with milk and cake waiting for us when we arrived. It’s the most perfect location with unbelievable views of Derrynane beach and The Skelligs. Our host John was so helpful and friendly and close by if we needed anything. Great enclosed garden for our dog.

Exceptional holiday property

The host, John, met us when we arrived and was so very helpful and kind. Hes an absolute gentleman and has provided a beautiful home from home. It is an excellently equipped comfortable warm house with the best shower. We had a wonderful time in late November. The garden is enclosed which was perfect for our little dog. The property has beautiful views of Derrynane Bay. The area is so tranquil and peaceful with an excellent local beach and walking trails. Best holiday home we've stayed at in Ireland!! Thanks John.
