Excellent location to visit Gibraltar and linea de la Concepcion. Staff was very friendly and the breakfast buffet was amazing. My only suggestions is to provide AC no matter the seasons. We practically suffocated and dehydrated in the room. We select the hotel with AC included. Also, open windows or doors the whole day limited your privacy and expose you to robbery from neighbor balconies.

The location works great as a base for a day trip into Gibraltar since the border is about a 10-15 min walk. However, I think calling this an upscale hotel is really misleading and is more accurately a 2-star hotel. The building and the room were dilapidated and outdated. The room was very dusty with moderate to heavy staining on the bedside tables and the bathroom countertop. There was a dirt shoe print near the balcony door and a hair inside the electric kettle.

Within 10 mins walking distance from the Spain-Gibraltar border and La Línea bus station. Useful as a ‘stopover hotel’ when travelling from Gibraltar to other parts of Andalusia to avoid the exorbitant hotel rates in Gibraltar. Fairly close to La Línea centro if you need to grab food. No facilities so to speak but generally a clean and pleasant hotel.

This hotel is a bock and a half from the bus station at La Lina de Conception. We had a direct view of the Rock of Gibraltar. We walked to Gibraltar and took the van tour of the mountain located just outside Customs. Great hotel for everything.

Better value than Gibraltar
Perfect hotel for visiting Gibraltar, about 800m from border, with no real issues crossing over, far cheaper than staying in Gibraltar. Not much going on near the hotel, but enough bars, restaurants nearby. Would recommend requesting a 'rock' view room, much better view. Hotel is 4 star, but that is stretching it a bit, its a little dated, but very clean and friendly. Breakfast buffet is worth including.

Could be better
Bed not particularly comfortable, 2 very small cups of different sizes for tea/coffee. Only 1 sachet of breakfast tea and 2 of coffee so good job we didn't want drink at night and in the morning. Shower in bathroom leaked all over bathroom floor when used leaving it soaking wet. Shower curtain needs replacing with one which keeps water in.

Handy Gibraltar and La Linea. Good value
Nice hotel, easy access from Gibraltar airport, 10 minute walk, near shopping and restaurants in La Linea. Cheap on site parking, close to car rentals. Good value for spacious room, hot shower, very friendly and fast check in.

A Good Base for Visiting Gibraltar & Costa del Sol
I used this hotel in the Spanish town of La Línea de la Concepción as the base to travel to Gibraltar. The hotel is less than 10 minutes walk to the border control and a further 10 minutes to the centre of Gibratlar. There is a convenient direct bus service to other beach resorts such as Marbella and Malaga along the Costa del Sol. On site, the hotel has a good range of stay and dining options from room only to full board. I picked the half board option so that I did not worrying about missing lunch and could continue sightseeing throughout the day. Staff were all very responsive and always quick to respond to guest questions once the booking had been placed. I had a double room for single use and it was very spacious and even come with a seaside balcony. Plenty of coffee and tea plus two bottles of water were provided free of charge. The late checkout time at 12 noon is also handy for those wanting to catch the afternoon flights to the UK at the Gibraltar Airport that is less than quarter of an hour on foot, closer to the airport than any hotels in Gibraltar.

We stayed here because we wanted to visit Gibraltar and this hotel is located about 300 yards from the border crossing. It was very clean and had many amenities. Check-in was quick and easy, as was the check-out. Everyone was very helpful with any requests or information. Great safe place to stay while we explored the area.

The staff, the proximity to the border, and the parking on premises are great. The hotel itself is old, which could have been okay had it been maintained with good care, but it's not the case. Overall, it's an okay place to spend a couple of nights, but don't expect anything above average. The breakfast was always cold as there seemed to be no heating equipment on the buffet line, and there was no fresh vegetables or salads except for 3 tomato slices. They have an omelet/pancake station to order omelets made from scratch, but when I tried ordering an omelet, the staff refused to make it and instead sent me to the buffet line where they had pre-cooked scrambled eggs (probably from carton package) that were cold as everything else.

A great option for visiting Gibraltar
The hotel is less than a 10-minute walk to the Gibraltar border/airport, and I was happy to pay the parking fee for the convenience of in-and-out privileges. The junior suite was the size of an apartment, with a wrap around balcony facing the Rock and marina. Exactly what I was looking for, and at a great price.

Location was perfect as we were going into Gibraltar and arrived by bus a 5 minute walk away. Walking distance to the border crossing (less then 10 minutes). Room was fine and the view was great of the marina and the rock. Biggest issue was the prepaid meals. Breakfast was ok but dinner terrible. Definitely not worth paying for.

My first time staying in this hotel and in La Linea as I was very impressed with it. Close to visiting Gibraltar and getting the train up to Ronda. I was there in November but next time I stay it will be at a different time of the year when the beaches will have more facilities open. Staff friendly and helpful food very good.

This property IS NOT in Gibraltar, which was my ultimately mistake because, not being from the that area, (obviously) I did not carefully check the address. However, the name of the hotel says "Gibraltar" so I assumed it was located in (British) Gibraltar. I did not even stay there! I wanted my one-night visit to be in Gibraltar. So I stayed at The Rock Hotel (much better choice anyway!). The hotel in La Linea should clearly state that their hotel is in Spain. The receptionista at The Rock hotel said that she has had many customers express the same confusion regarding the location of Ohtels Campo de Gibraltar. They should change the name of the hotel: Ohtels Campo de la Linea de Conception! So would you want to go back and forth across customs just to go to your hotel?
