A wood burning, stone fireplace graces the 18 x 24 foot family room. A large dining/kitchen area features a generous kitchen island, oak hardwood floors and overlooks Pleasant Lake. Tiled flooring covers the back entry, main floor bath and laundry room. One bedroom with two twin beds and a study complete the main floor plan. An open staircase leads upstairs to three bedrooms and two more full baths. The master bedroom is a generous sized room with a king size bed. The ensuite features a Jacuzzi tub. The finished lower floor offers ping pong, foosball, a card table, a gas fireplace as well as an 18 x 24 bedroom and a full bath. The lower floor has a sliding glass door that exits to the lakeside. Swim, kayak, paddle board or fish on the lake from May to September. Listen for the call of the loons early in the morning, for the croak of the frogs in the evening, or watch the eagles soar above the north side of the lake on a warm night. Gather around a bonfire at the end of the day to relax and gaze at the stars. Watch for deer moving through the trees down to the lake to drink or gaze at the glorious array of colors during the fall. Ice fish, skate, cross country ski or snowmobile on the hard ice or snow during the cold winter days. Scavenge for mushrooms in the surrounding forests by Mesick during the spring time. There are many outdoor activities for families, groups and couples to enjoy in the Cadillac area. Amenities at the Pleasant Lake Residence include three kayaks, two paddle boards, a small fishing boat, and a handful of sleds. In the greater Cadillac area, there are a variety of activities for all seasons and age groups. Caberfae Peaks Ski and Golf Resort is 20 miles from the property. Crystal Mountain Resort Ski and Golf Resort is 30 miles from the property. Popular golf courses include the Eldorado Golf Course and the Evergreen. The Manistee, Muskegon and Pine Rivers all have canoe liveries for hours of fun by raft, kayak or canoe. Adventure Island on M115 offers go carts, batting cages, bummer boats, mini golf, a water slide, an arcade and ice cream. The White Pine Trail offers a paved trail for bicycling from Cadillac to Tustin. Five miles due west of the Pleasant Lake Residence is a trail head for miles of snowmobile trails. The Gopherwood Society holds folksy music performances at the Elks Lodge in downtown Cadillac during the school year. Plenty of supplies like coffee filters and even laundry detergent. One suggestion would to bring beach towels if you are going swimming or using hot tub. Towels were provided but we had to wash/dry frequently. Super responsive host and was helpful with questions around restaurants and even tips for our ski day. ##### Jennifer S. The kids loved fishing and kayaking and playing in the water. There was ample bedroom and bathroom space for everyone. The kitchen was well set up with everything we needed. The house was even more open and spacious in person. There were plenty of bedrooms and beds for the 4 couples that stayed here. The house was equipped with everything we needed! Unfortunately we had chilly weather the weekend we were here, so we weren't able to utilize the water crafts or swim, but the lake was beautiful. The house was clean and the beds were very comfortable. We spent most of week right there at the beach. The grandkids loved the sand and the parents loved the shallow beach. We visited with two sets of grandparents, 2 adults and 3 children ages 4 to 7\. It was perfect in the following ways: - kitchen so well appointed we cooked and served a variety of meals; large pans, quantities of tableware and glassware - easy to cook together as a group with large kitchen island - indoor table that easily held our group of 10 - outdoor picnic table seating for 12-14 with umbrellas - additional seating on large deck - huge fire pit for adult fires after bedtime, wood and fire starters provided - sand beach, shallow water up to dock - great fishing off dock for little ones and grandfather - kayaks for 2 people, small size for kids - nice lawn for play - two living rooms so kids had an art/play center - bedrooms for all, no parents had to sleep with kids - plenty of bathrooms, toilet paper for the week - great, thick towels - plenty of contact with owner prior and during stay; very open to help with anything We had an incredible week--Cadillac has great things to do, good parks for playgrounds, bike trail, hikes and restaurants when we didn't want to cook.
