Great Northwoods Home sleeps 10 comfortably near Caberfae Ski and Golf Resort

Year round fun at this spacious home with Caberfae Ski/ Golf Resort resort just a block away. Pine and Manistee Rivers are just minutes away with canoeing, world class salmon,trout, steelhead, smallmouth and largemouth bass fishing. Hiking, biking, ATV, and endless other trails are right outside of the door. Fall brings the spectacular colors of the Northwoods. Winter Cross Country ski trails are 1/4 mile away.Downhill skiing at Caberfae is 5 minutes and Crystal Mountain is about 1/2 an hour. The snowmobile trail system is constantly being groomed and is accessible right out of the door so unload them and ride for hundreds of miles or just hang at the house by the real fieldstone fireplace smelling the hardwood, hearing the crackle and watching the lapping flames!
One bedroom with a queen bed on main floor, two bedrooms upstairs one with a queen bed and a twin, the third bedroom has two twin beds and a queen. Two full baths.
Additional loft space with two twin beds overlooking the great room and fireplace.
Updated spacious kitchen and 3 Dish network tv's. One in great room, one off the kitchen and one in upstairs bedroom.
All 3 couches are pull out queen as well.

Caberfae base camp
Clean, no frills house for up north adventures - winter or otherwise. One minute from Caberfae Peaks Resort. Lots of space, plenty of beds, updated appliances, owner was great to communicate with. Note there's no wifi.

Overall the the accommodation was very good. The kitchen and the living room are are really spacious. There was no cell phone service in or near the house, no wifi, and no landline phone for emergency. The freezer of refrigerator did not work at all. The other part of the refrigerator was barely cool, even at max setting, and our cooked food got spoiled on the second day. A functioning refrigerator and wifi would be essential. A central air would be a nice addition, especially for hot summer days.

An exciting and memorable family experience
It started with the key falling out of the lock box and getting lost in the snow. The owner however was immediately responsive. There were toys and games for our grandkids to enjoy and some fun climbing hideouts. A nice fireplace and lots of room for us all. Having grown up coming to this location throughout my childhood as my parents owned a place across the street, it was like a trip down memory lane and exactly as I expected.

Perfect Caberfae Cottage
The house is even better than listed in the VRBO post. It is historic and charming, yet also fully modernized with a nice, big kitchen and dining area, large TVs and a lofted great room with a beautiful and large fireplace. The property is a 2-minute drive from the Caberfae Peaks ski resort and the surrounding neighborhood is quiet. We couldn't be happier with our experience.

No AC and the fridge wasn't working
It seems like a nice cozy place. Has lots of character and charm! But it was mid to high 80s the entire time we were there and I didn't see that there was no AC in the listing. I assumed it is 2020 and that there would be some basic cooling in the house. The fridge was luke worm at best. Freezer not completely freezing. Had to get tons of ice to keep everything in our coolers. Pry really nice in the winter with the large fore place.
