Brand New House with Pool, Walk to Beach

Casa Laguna - be one of the first to vacation in this brand-new luxury home, with a pool, in the heart of Playa Grande. Whether you’re looking to get away with your family, friends or for a corporate retreat, you will not be disappointed! 5 minute walk to the main beach; 5-15 min walk to restaurants and a short drive to all the Costa Rican adventures. Approx 45 min drive from Liberia Airport. The house is fully fenced in, with private covered parking, and high-speed internet throughout. INTERIOR - First floor: Open concept living room and modern kitchen, stocked with everything you'd need to reheat leftovers or cook a gourmet meal. The large glass sliding doors, blend the outside with the inside and make the perfect backdrop. There's an additional powder room and laundry area with a full size washer/dryer for added convenience. The first floor also features a bedroom, which is perfect for those wanting extra privacy and/or not wanting to go upstairs. There's a private bathroom, with a stand up shower, and a queen and twin bed. Second Floor: There are 3 additional bedrooms, all with an en-suite. At the top of the stairs you'll find an open floor area perfect for yoga, kids playing, etc., a desk, for those looking to log on, and we've added a "baby" gate for those looking to contain little ones. EXTERIOR: The living area flows directly to the outside, where you have your own private oasis. Rinse off in the bamboo outdoor shower and dive into the refreshing pool, which features a Guanacaste wood swing and a sun shelf, perfect for keeping cool and/or kids play. Relax in one of the lounge chairs by the pool or in the hammock garden. The large U shaped seating area is a perfect place to hang and offers sun coverage and overhead fans. Enjoy al-fresco dining around the outdoor dining table and use the new gas BBQ. There's also a full bathroom in the carport for added convenience.

Points forts : Propreté
This is a gorgeous house that's better in-person than in the pictures. Definitely brings the wow factor! The layout worked so well for our group with the pool/yard area being a wonderful place to hang. There were a of instances of wear/use for such a new house but the property management team was responsive and addressed questions and issues really quickly. We had friends staying in another house nearby that did experience a security issue so we were grateful that Casa Laguna was equipped with an alarm system.

Pros:Great size for big family with nice layoutWell stocked kitchen, plenty of towels, Great laundry room!Property management responded quickly when we had issues!Easy walk to beach and all restaurants in townCons:Desperately needs a groundskeeper. Every night crabs die on the property creating a horrible odor attracting massive amount of bugs. Nobody wants to spend their vacation cleaning up dead carcasses daily. You also have to maintain the pool yourself, so again, a groundskeeper is needed. The lovely sitting area outside is unusable due to crab carcasses and bugs everywhere.Terrible sewage smell, especially in the master bedroom. Drainage is a problem in all bathrooms, which may be related to the sewage smell.There is construction going on all around the house and probably will be for years. Not the owner's fault, as this neighborhood is being built up. We suggest bringing earplugs or a sound machine to drown out the early morning construction noise.Bring umbrellas. Everything in town (beach, restaurants) is within walking distance, but if it's rainy season it will rain at some point each day.Wish the house was better stocked with beach supplies. There were 2 chairs (both very dirty and one rusted), 1 boogie board, and a sun tent. We spent a lot of to rent equipment daily.The outside bathroom is unusable. It hasn't been cleaned in a while and is full of bugs. It would have been nice to use when coming back from the beach, but it was just too dirty.
