Clean rooms with historical charm. Friendly, professional staff. Easy, free parking. Room was ground level and closest to reception so door beep could be heard a negligible amount. Very minor road noise (huge plus compared to other locations). Could hear voices clearly into the night, possibly from a staff office due to drop tile ceilings but stopped around 11PM. Comfortable bed, good air conditioning, Roku tv, and instant hot water for showers.

Our room was part of the original chapel. Very unique. There was a nice outdoor sitting area with two tables and chairs right outside our door.

Good small hotel. I wish there were complementary water bottles. From the room, you can hear a lot of noises from people in the hallways, other rooms, and on the streets. The water pressure in the shower is inconsistent as well as the water temperature.

Their is tremendous value in this property. If you were in Old San Juan, you would have easily paid double. Additionally unlike Old San Juan, you never felt that it was too crowded. The fact that the University of Puerto Rico , has a Campus in Mayaguez, added to a funky, cool vibe in the surrounding area. Their were many cool bars and restaurants within a walking distance. I will definitely come back.

We liked the safe parking opposite the hotel. Bed was very small for two persons. A second towel would have been great also a second chair to sit on!

The hotel room is small as a walk-in closet. There's no phone in the rooms, and when I encountered an issue with the tv, I had to walk down and up the stairs from the third floor to have the issue fixed since There's no elevator. There's was no hot water, and at the time of checkout I point it that out, she suggested I should've come down to let them know. Terrible hotel not worth the headache.

The hotel's hotel rooms vary in price, size, and accessibility with and without stairs, the guest is the one who chooses; they all have the basics and necessary. Our website shows each of them in real time. At Check-in, guests are advised to call the Front Desk from their cell phones to request any 24/7 assistance. Being a large building from the last century, some of the rooms take a while for the hot water to arrive, only by letting it run for a few 3 minutes are available; since we have solar and electric heaters.Next time, invite you to call us in advance to discuss your needs and preferences, so that your experience will the much better.

This was our favorite place to stay on our recent Puerto Rico trip. The hotel is charming, clean, safe, and within walking distance of the historic district and plenty of terrific restaurants. The a/c, shower, and WiFi worked great. Highly recommend!

Jewel in the center of the city
This is a great hotel to stay in the center of the city. Good restaurants, and nightlife within walking distance. Perfect to visit local historic places like the Catedral and the government building. The room i had was very small, but still good for a short stay.
