The Irish say "An té a bhíónn siúlach, bíonn scéalach." This means "He who travels has stories to tell." What better place to make your stories than here? From the panoramic views provided by our two story wall of windows to the quiet calm of sitting on our screened in porch and listening to the rain on a stormy evening... the Irish Eagle is full of stories waiting to be told. Tech? We've got you covered with free high speed wi-fi, Netflix, Dish, a Playstation 3, Alexa and whole house sound system... but do you come to the woods for tech? In the main suite, you'll find a king bed, pass through fireplace and blackout shades in case you feel like sleeping in. You'll have a walk-in closet en suite with a mirrored Jacuzzi tub that offers you an uninterrupted view of both the lake and the fireplace and tv... while still offering complete privacy. In the Woodland Bedroom you'll find a queen bed, ceiling fan and beautiful view of the western woods. Conveniently located next to the hall bath with full size washer/dryer, tub and shower. Laundry detergent is on site if you need to wash any clothes during your stay. Custom honeycomb shades allow for natural light without compromising privacy. Downstairs, a plush pull out sofa and comfortable futon make two independent sleeping quarters - separated in the middle by a wet bar. This room is the third listed bedroom and features another fireplace, pool table, satellite TV and a PlayStation 3\. There is a rack of traditional board games and foosball table, as well as a full bath. Just outside the sliding glass doors, you'll find dual porch swings and a hot tub with a perfect view of the lake. Our 2019 Hot Springs tub offers adjustable jets and colorful lighting with several seating options. Located on its own small deck, this provides anyone using the hot tub with a clear view of both the lake and the night sky. There is a grill upstairs (half charcoal, half propane) provided for your outdoor cooking needs. We provide propane but you will need to bring charcoal if you prefer to use that. Linens and towels provided as well as dishes and glassware. Beach towels are provided for dips in the hot tub. We have complimentary coffee station with free premium coffee, decaf, tea and condiments. You're less than a mile from Eagles' Cove Marina where you can rent pontoons, house boats and more! Everything is within reach from the Irish Eagle! (Rental confirmation and contract provided via messenger.) \*\*\*\*\*\*\*Important note\*\*\*\*\*\*\* Our trash service in this area is collected by hand with a pickup truck. As a result, they will not pick up unbagged trash. Any time a guest leaves a box or empty cans in the trash can, our cleaning crew has come bag their trash by hand so that it can be collected. Please help us avoid passing along any unnecessary fees by bagging all your trash with the bags provided and placing it in the curbside cans. We supply trash bags and can bring more if you need them but we have to charge $100 for ANY unbagged trash (even just boxes and cans). The views from the upper deck are great. Susan is an excellent host. Everything you need is provided. Great communication and quick to respond. Very flexible and no strict instructions for check out, like most VRBO hosts. The house is pretty remote, but close to a marina. Depending where you are coming from, the closest big box grocery store and/or dining is about an hour away. But if you pre plan, it's all good. The house was clean and we'll furnished. It was within a mile of a launch ramp and marina. We had a very relaxing stay. We enjoyed mornings on the deck overlooking Dale Hollow Lake. The teens enjoyed the lower level with a pool table and foosball. Communication was easy with quick responses. The views from the upper deck were breathtaking, and the property itself was everything you could need for a lake getaway.There are a couple of things you should know before you go though. This house is in the hills of Tennessee. If you cant live without phone reception, its not for you. There is a ton to do and there is wifi, but cell service is spotty. Thats part of what makes it magical.The drive from the main town to the house is beautiful and curvy. The road the house is on is small and large vehicles may want to take it slow. There is no big box store within 30 miles. Drives to walmart take at least 40 minutes. There is a nice IGA up the road about 15 minutes for groceries, but not much in the way of restaurants. Be prepared to make good use of the kitchen. The house was very clean and has a great layout. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back. The hot tub overlooking the lake view was very relaxing, although getting in and out was a little precarious since the steps aren't attached, especially in the dark. The views were gorgeous and the multi-level deck was such a relaxing place to have a cup of coffee before hitting the lake. It's very close and convenient to Eagle's Cove Marina. Our stay was filled with beautiful sunrises, porch swinging, hot tub relaxation, pool table playoffs, Netflix, nostalgic PS3 games, great grilling with provided propane, a totally stocked kitchen and the 2 minute drive to Eagle Cove Marina was so convenient! We could see the house from when we were on the lake too! Very clean house with everything you need and excellent communication with owners too! We look forward to staying again soon! ##### Lisa P.
