Welcome to The Staffordshire Knot, a newly renovated gem that once served as a beloved local pub and has now been transformed into an exquisite holiday let. Nestled in the charming village of Sheen in Buxton, this property seamlessly blends its rich history with modern luxury, offering you a unique and unforgettable getaway. Sleeping up to eight guests across four bedrooms, you can enjoy this beautiful property with your loved ones.  
  
The Space:  
The Staffordshire Knot boasts four beautifully appointed bedrooms, each designed with comfort and flexibility in mind, making it perfect for families, groups of friends, or couples seeking a peaceful retreat.  
  
Located on the ground floor, Chatsworth is a versatile twin room featuring an en-suite bathroom. The beds are zip-and-link, allowing them to be converted into a luxurious super king-size bed upon request. This room ensures easy access and convenience for guests preferring ground-floor accommodation.  
  
Also on the ground floor, you’ll find a convenient WC and a utility space equipped with a washer, iron, and clothes airer, ensuring you have all the comforts of home during your stay.  
  
Ascending the stairs, you will discover the heart of The Staffordshire Knot: a spacious living room designed for relaxation and socialising. The room features a plush L-shaped sofa, a comfortable three-seater sofa, and an extendable dining table perfect for shared meals or game nights. Entertainment options abound with a 50-inch TV, a collection of jigsaw puzzles, and a variety of books to suit all tastes.  
  
The kitchen, situated at the top of the lounge, is a chef’s dream. It is fully equipped with an induction hob, oven, dishwasher, full-height fridge freezer, and an additional fridge for your convenience. A microwave, kettle, toaster, and a coffee machine compatible with Philips L’or or original Nespresso pods are also provided. To make your stay even more enjoyable, we offer a welcome supply of coffee, tea, sugar, and coffee pods.  
  
For added convenience, cutlery is neatly stored in internal drawers located under the counter with the kettles.  
  
Down the corridor behind the seating area are three more exquisite bedrooms: Stanmore is a twin room, which can also be converted into a super king-size bed, is perfect for guests who prefer flexibility in their sleeping arrangements.  
  
Opposite Stanmore, you’ll find the main bathroom, which features a refreshing shower and a luxurious freestanding bath, providing a perfect spot to unwind after a day of exploring the peaks.  
  
Adjacent to the bathroom is a store cupboard stocked with a Henry hoover, sweeping brush, spare bulbs, and other essentials.  
  
At the end of the corridor on the right, Buxton offers a super king-size bed with an ensuite bathroom. Like the other rooms, the bed can be adjusted to twin configuration. In the near future, this room will also feature a day bed, allowing for additional sleeping space for up to two more guests.  
  
Located at the end of the corridor on the left, Monsal is another super king-size room with an en-suite, capable of being configured as a twin room. This room will also soon include a day bed for extra accommodation.  
  
All bedrooms are thoughtfully furnished with drawers, bedside tables, and hanging shelves, ensuring ample storage for your belongings. We also provide complimentary hand wash and 2-in-1 shampoo/body wash for your convenience.  
  
The Staffordshire Knot is controlled by a Nest thermostat located on the lamp shelf in the lounge, ensuring you can easily maintain a comfortable temperature during your stay.  
  
Guest Access:  
Guests will have access to the whole property for the duration of their stay.  
  
Keys are accessed via a key safe and access details will be provided shortly before your arrival date.  
  
The Neighborhood:  
Nestled in the heart of the Staffordshire Peak District, Sheen is a charming rural village that offers a tranquil escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. Surrounded by rolling hills and picturesque landscapes, Sheen is an ideal destination for nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts.  
  
Sheen Hill is a local landmark, offering panoramic views of the surrounding countryside. It’s a great spot for a leisurely hike or a picnic.  
  
Church of St. Luke is a beautiful historic church dating back to the 14th century, providing a glimpse into the area’s rich history.  
  
The area around Sheen is crisscrossed with numerous walking trails, ranging from gentle strolls to more challenging hikes. Popular routes include the Manifold Way and the Limestone Way.  
  
Sheen is a great starting point for cycling enthusiasts. The quiet country lanes and dedicated cycle paths offer scenic rides for all levels.  
  
Just a short drive from Sheen, the picturesque village of Hartington is a hidden gem in the Peak District. Known for its charming streets, historic buildings, and welcoming atmosphere, Hartington is a must-visit for anyone exploring the area.  
Harrington Hall is a stunning historic manor house with beautiful gardens, offering guided tours that delve into the local history.  
  
Hartington Market Square is located in the heart of the village, this quaint square is home to a variety of local shops, cafes, and traditional pubs. If you are looking for a glimpse into local architecture, pop down to Harrington Parish Church, A lovely example of local architecture, this church is both a place of worship and a community hub.  
  
Both Sheen and Harrington provide easy access to the Peak District National Park, known for its dramatic landscapes, limestone dales, and diverse wildlife.  
  
Dovedale is a renowned beauty spot famous for its stepping stones, stunning valley, and walking paths along the River Dove.  
  
Sheen and Hartington provide a perfect blend of relaxation, outdoor activities, and cultural experiences, making them ideal for a memorable holiday in the Peak District.  
  
Getting Around:  
Sheen is a small village located in the Peak District and has limited public transport options, but there are still several ways to get around the area and explore the surrounding countryside and nearby towns. Sheen is served by a few bus routes that connect the village to nearby towns and villages including Route 442 (Ashbourne to Cheadle) and Route 107 (Buxton to Bakewell).  
  
Route 442 passes through Sheen and connects the village to Ashbourne (about 7 miles away) and Cheadle (around 9 miles away). Both Ashbourne and Cheadle offer amenities like shops, cafes, and restaurants, and are good bases for exploring the wider Peak District.  
  
Sheen is also within reach of the 107 bus route, which connects Buxton (about 5 miles away) to Bakewell (about 8 miles away), passing through several other villages. Buxton is a market town famous for its Georgian architecture, natural springs, and the Buxton Opera House. Bakewell is well-known for its market, shops, and the famous Bakewell Pudding.  
About 5 miles away, Buxton Station is the closest mainline station, offering train services to Manchester, Sheffield, and other cities in the region.
