A lovely little escape from Perth for the weekend, with the highlight being the wildlife at our doorstep all day and night! Our daughter was delighted as were the adults! Had never seen a woylie (and some had never heard of them) and they were hopping about our lawn merrily both evenings! Fantastic! The only downside would be the booking on wotif.com. It allowed me to book us in on dates that turned out to be unavailable and gave the wrong price. Our chalet was one bedroom, very spacious sitting-room, bedroom and kitchen area. Very comfy chalets with everything you need including eggs, butter, milk, DVDs, books, picnic rug etc. Not the most modern decor but that was not a concern. Our UK visitor ( and us) was impressed with kangaroos, possums, woylies and a bandicoot who came to visit. Then once the kids were in bed we got some time to ourselves to relax in the spa- so peaceful! The house isn't as dated as it seemed in the pictures and has been made well. It worked for us because the kids are young, but the only thing I see being an issue is the bathroom/ laundry/toilet/entrance combination. Could be awkward with older kids or two couples. But you know what? There are 3 other entrances to the house- all you have to do is walk a couple of extra metres around the side! Wildlife was active as promised- kids loved it. Bed was comfy. We could only just see the next unit through the trees so it felt very private and was very quiet at night for the kids.
