The owner was accommodating and friendly and answered all our questions promptly. The home was clean and the beds were comfortable. About a mile outside the village, we hiked to Roaring Forks waterfall, which was beautiful and an easy hike. We drove to Mt. Mitchell and ate a delicious meal overlooking the valley. If you want to find a quiet and relaxing place, this is it!! One caveat-the drive is challenging on 80, so get there in the daylight hours. Burnsville is a quaint mountain town about 30 minutes north of the house. We enjoyed shopping, barbecue lunch and watching glass making and buying some pottery.
