"Always an affordable place to stay. Clientele is definitely changing though. Rooms smell heavily of Marijuana and the drains don't seem to work in the tubs. (I've stayed here over a dozen times, it's not just one room). Front desk is always friendly."

"Hotel is usually great but during my recent stay, some things could use improvement. We were assigned a room that we could not gain entry to. When we told the front desk, he said he was aware and that we should just turn the doorknob upward and push hard. He seemed aggravated when we asked for a different room. Other than that, usually a great place to stay. Hot tub is always nice!"

"My partner and I were excited to visit Lake Geneva for our anniversary after seeing strong reviews and photos online. We booked a king room with a resort view for two nights. Before arrival, trying to extend our stay by one night took multiple calls, transfers, and long hold times, which was our first red flag. At check in, we were told our reserved resort view was unavailable and were “upgraded” to a pool view, even though the pool was closed for winter. Staff insisted this was a better option and neither addressed the fact that we did not receive what we booked. After 10 minutes of back and fourth, we were given only $30 of breakfast vouchers, and no further discount was given. We were exhuasted and didn't want to start our stay on a bad note so we went on The room had several issues, including a broken blind, a torn chair, dirty grout in the shower, and extremely poor drainage in both the sink and shower that was painfully slow to clear. This made us question the overall cleanliness and maintenance of the room. Around the property, we also noticed visible wear and tear and poor signage for basic amenities. We used the vouchers for a Sunday brunch buffet that cost about $75 per person. The seafood had a strong, unpleasant odor, the meats were tough and bland, and the waffles were nearly cold. Overall, the stay was disappointing, especially for a special occasion. We left early during a snowstorm, relieved to go. This experience did not match the expectations set online."

"I come to Milwaukee often, and I have tried other hotels, this one is the best, hands down. The breakfast is fantastic, the beds are comfy, the rooms are not crowed, the pool was warm and the staff is exceptional."

"Lake Lawn has been around for well over 100 years. While the grounds are as expansive and lovely as always, major renovations have been done to the rooms, restaurant and common areas. Staff is friendly and professional from maintenance to front desk. While we went in what was the "off season" there were still enough options to make our stay worthwhile. "
