And, thanks to its ideal location on the last peninsula toward the opening of the lake and warmer water temperates, the summer season is extended slightly - so pack an extra swimsuit. When it’s time to explore, Lake Anna State Park is around 16 miles away and all the shopping, restaurants, and amenities of Bumpass are around five miles away. At home, enjoy morning coffee and evening cocktails on the large, wraparound deck and an afternoon snooze in the waterfront hammock. With your private dock and boat launch, you can spend the day on the water in one of the provided kayaks or canoes, or launch your own boat (up to 30 feet depending on water level) right from the driveway. There was plenty of activities, the property was well kept with plenty of amenities, and the bonfire pit in the backyard was incredible to reconnect with family. There was ample space in the home for our party of 6, as well as a great basement with a pool table. The main floor had the best view from the windows, and the best old school recliner. The property was very nice! It’s secluded and in pretty much a private cove. Well out of boat traffic but still very convenient with our boats. The dock was awesome. There was plenty of room for everyone. The downstairs area was perfect for the younger guests, it had loads of toys, a TV, and a pool table. The kitchen has almost everything that is needed to prepare most meals. It was cold while we were there for we didnt make much use of the outdoor areas but it was a beautiful location. When I was about to leave our home to drive to this home I received a welcome text from the property saying that the grill outside needs gas and if I wanted to grill I’d have to go get propane and send them the receipt and they would reimburse me. Wild to have the guest do that for the property. Upon arrival to the place we were greeted with a couple of older boats parked on the side of the property. Getting out and walking to the door up the stairs of the deck we were greeted with tons of spider webs and bird poop everywhere. I get it’s in the woods but this was old spots left over from days of not weeks ago. Go inside and check on everything and the mater bath has spiders in all corners and they are also in the sun lights in the ceiling. After this we went down to the dock. Once again covered in spiders and bird droppings. Oh and also a rocking chair that appeared to be thrown 20-30 feet from the dock sitting in the water upside down. When it was dinner time everything was working until it was time to do the dishes. The dishwasher which is actually mentioned in the ad that it is their for our convenience actually did not work. After doing troubleshooting I found the breaker in the fuse panel was switched off. So this was a known issue and it was flipped so no one would use it. The microwave was sporadically working and not working. Brought these problems up to the management company. They wanted to send people out during our vacation to fix them.
