Pros and Cons about this RRI. But long story short, I will say the pros did not quite offset the cons for me.
Located just off the NYS Thruway, this RRI is conveniently located for someone who needs easy access to the NYS Thruway.
It is also just 100 yards walk from the Anchor Bar Restaurant, not the original Anchor Bar, (home of the chicken wing), but a newer and nicer location, in my opinion. So walk with caution.
Despite any renovations that may have been done (floors, maybe), this property is painfully OLD.
My first impression of the room was not a good one. There was a heavy odor of chlorine in the air, and that's never a good sign. An experienced real estate agent once told me, if the first thing you smell when you walk into a house you're looking to buy is chlorine, then walk away, because there's probably a serious issue such as cigarette smoke or mold. After a day, the odor of cigarette smoke surfaced, even though the property is advertised to be smoke-free. But I understand it's nearly impossible to stop smokers from smoking.
The king size bed was comfortable, the linens were clean, but the pillows were old and not the best quality. The bed had reading lights on the headboard that were conveniently positioned.
The TV and remote worked fine.
The bathroom and shower were a bit cramped, but there was plenty of hot water, shampoo, soap and clean towels.
