"Well-located with lots of Old World charm such as the wood-paneled bar area off the lobby, the Claridge could nonetheless use some attention to detail and a cosmetic touch-up. The service in the bar was chaotic and slow despite a lack of customers, and the room had no clothes hangars in the closet. The bathroom was clean and serviceable but very small. The pool was welcome in the heat and the gym had plenty of equipment. As a clock fan, I appreciated the working English grandfather clock in the...

"Dingy, old, dirty looking. Very cheap though, so the conditions were expected. Only needed the room to catch a few hours sleep. "
