It At a glance: The Beacon is so close to the beach that you can jump from bed to board, walking barefoot in your wetsuit to the sand for a morning surf. Check the swell without even leaving your retreat, with sea views from almost every room. The location couldn’t be any better. You’ll be staying directly on the beach, where you can pop back during a day in the waves to grab lunch from the kitchen. You’re seconds from great local facilities, including a surf hire directly next door and a beach café for brunching, lunching and coffee fixes all day long. Plus, direct access to the coast path seconds from your front door means you can walk for miles. Guests will receive a 20% discount at the Black Rock Cafe and Shop, and complimentary surf hire during your stay. Leave the car behind and find everything you need on foot, with three pubs walking distance away, and Bude’s town centre a scenic walk along the coast (with buses running to and fro). Soak up views of Black Rock Beach, the wild north end of Widemouth Bay, with rugged rocks, crashing waves, sunrises, sunsets, gulls, beach walkers, dolphins on the horizon and more. See it all from the comfort of your sofa or balcony. Inside: A five bedroomed, four bathroomed retreat with spacious interiors and plenty of natural light. The property is over 2 floors however the bedroom levels are slightly staggered with several steps down to the rooms Upstairs open plan living, dining and kitchen space, leading out to a large balcony with sea views. Living space features two sofas, two armchairs, coffee table, lamps and TV. Large central dining table seating 10, with feature hanging lights. Fully equipped kitchen, with cosy snug seating next to the central island, making for the perfect socialising space where wave watching, cooking and good conversation flow. Kitchen also features double oven with microwave, Quooker hot tap, induction hob on the central island, three bar stools, fridge/freezer and doors to the balcony with sea views. Rear facing windows where you can see the grass roofs of the retreat and extra light can come in. Colourful coastal artwork, cosy cushions and throws, and plenty of houseplants create a homely yet beach-chic feel. Upstairs WC with basin. Travel cot and highchair available. Underfloor heating throughout. Sleeping: First lower ground floor bedroom with king size bed, hanging rail, and door to the patio with sea views. En suite with walk in rainfall shower, WC, basin and heated towel rail. Second lower ground floor bedroom with king size bed, hanging rail, and door to the patio with sea views. Third lower ground floor bedroom with king size bed, hanging rail, and door to the patio with sea views. Fourth ground floor bedroom with king size zip and link beds (can be made into two singles), hanging rail, en suite with walk in rainfall shower, WC and basin. Fifth ground floor bedroom with double bunk beds (single on top), bean bag chair and ensuite with walk in rainfall shower, WC and basin. Family bathroom with bath, walk-in rainfall shower, WC, heated towel rail and basin (shared by bedrooms two and three).
