Nice but overpriced hotel, it has no visible front, the reception is kind of hidden on the third floor of a building with hard to find front. My wife and I got a single room key, which made it difficult to run independent errands.
This hotel was such a unique experience and we loved it! We thought the area was great- very close to a couple of the Christmas markets- and would definitely stay again.
Amazing experience at Callas House! It’s in the best area and everywhere you would want to go is walkable. Definitely choose Callas House for your visit!
Callas house is a lovely hotel right next to the opera house, so it is very central. The room we had was big and clean. The bed was huge. The bathroom was clean and lots of towels. The blackout blinds were great. They made sure we always had plenty of toiletries. The cleaners left the room spotless everyday. The reception was fantastic and really helpful. The breakfast was great but the only thing was that there could have been a slight change in the hot food offered e.g. bacon. The breakfast was perfect for us over a weekend but might get quite repetitive if you were staying for longer. The bread at breakfast was delicious and fresh. Overall a fantastic stay.
Without a doubt this is the best hotel I have ever stayed in. The area is so incredibly beautiful, as well as the hotel itself being a stunning place to stay, the room we had was absolutely incredible. When we return to Budapest, this will be the only place we will stay.
I had an enjoyable stay. The lady who checked me in was delightful and walked me to my room and was horrified that there was a single pillow case that hasn't been ironed and immediately took it away. I found it amusing, but it shows their high standards.
The only downside was the entrance is not easy to find.
Beautiful room with a great dual terrace view to the Opera and to Andrassy. Staff were helpful and kind. Definitely recommend this hotel as the location is great and the on site restaurant was also beautiful with very good Hungarian fare.

Callas House is a very quaint boutique hotel. This hotel is located in a great area, a convenient location to access all Budapest offers. We will recommend Callas House to anyone who asks for accommodations when in Budapest.
Beautiful, modern hotel right across from the Opera House. It wasn't super easy to find at first since the hotel is located on the 3rd floor of a building that looked otherwise mostly unoccupied. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The rooms spacious and well-equipped.

Strange entrance to the building but once you are on the third floor and greeted by friendly helpful staff, the situation is fine. Extremely unique rooms and very convenient to many places. We attended the nutcracker at the opera house which was right next door! If I ever get a chance to visit Budapest again, I would definitely stay here.
The hotel is very nice and in a great location, literally right next door to the Opera House. We were able to walk everywhere but cars are easily available as well. Breakfast was okay (same thing every day) and our room was very spacious, comfortable and quiet.
The property was clean and comfortable.
The host was responding instantly to all inquiries.
The property is conveniently located in the heart of the city.
The sea view is breathtaking.
I would not hesitate to come back again.
Great sized rooms, very nice historic building and extremely central! Really enjoyed our stay and definitely will return - we had an issue with our aircon on the first night which the receptionist helped solved the next day so an uncomfortable start but all sorted. Lovely employees, limited breakfast options but what was available was fine. The cafe below was great to enjoy the cakes and drinks. If you’re very sensitive to noise it is very central so quite noisy - the rooms all have secondary glazing as well which does help but you can still hear the bustling city at night.
We really loved staying at the Callas Hotel. The room was very spacious and comfortable. We had a room with the rooftop balcony, which was a nice addition even though the weather wasn’t the best. The included breakfast at their restaurant next door was a nice mix of more European fare as well as some American staples (we ate dinner there twice -not included with our room- and really enjoyed our meals then, too.) The location of the hotel is really great and very walkable. The staff we encountered were extremely helpful and kind. I would definitely recommend Callas House to anyone visiting Budapest!
The reception staff were wonderful and made up our room with a gift to celebrate my 60th birthday which was the day we arrived. The only setback was that the restaurant at the hotel was being used as a film set which made finding the entrance etc a bit difficult on arrival and we did not get to breakfast in the beautiful art deco restaurant. That being said, our room was spacious, clean and comfortable in a beautifully historic building right next to the opera house and in the centre of everything.
Callas house was the highlight of the trip. We were upgraded to one of the rooms with a rooftop and this gave us amazing city views of Saint Stephen’s and the Opera House.
The amenities in the hotel were 5 star and service was excellent.
The location is also perfect and recommendations were sublime.
The location is great in a very elegant area of town, walkable distance from many tourist locations but also close to transport options. The room was beautiful and clean. The breakfast (included in the price) at the downstairs Callas Cafe was disappointing and the ambience sad despite the beautiful decor. Reception area at Callas house is tight and could benefit from seating for waiting guests and a proper guest bathroom
A wonderful hotel with a convenient location; the hotel staff was outstanding - friendly, helpful, responsive and caring; breakfast in the restaurant downstairs was very good; our room was specious, comfortable with great views of the Opera; I'd gladly go back!
My wife and I absolutely loved our one week stay at Callas House. The staff was excellent from booking the room until we checked out with any questions or concerns we had. It is in a fantastic location for access to all public transportation anywhere in the city. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend this hotel to other people.
Perfectly situated on leafy Andrassy- will return!
Cozy and beautiful boutique hotel. Our room had a balcony overlooking the Opera House and Andrassy Utca. Can't get better than that! Beautiful furnishings. Also very nice breakfast buffet at downstairs restaurant Callas. Special thanks to wonderful Ildiko for a sweet acknowledgement of my son's 10th birthday! What a considerate surprise!
Really lovely small hotel hidden away on the upper floors of a beautiful old building. Comfortable, great design, different from the usual, and such nice staff. Breakfast choice isn't enormous but has everything you need. Great location near the opera, with the M1 (yellow) metro line just outside, and a 5 min walk to the M3 (blue) line, and plenty of options for busses.
