Having checked in on the Monday and being sold a room upgrade to a quiet area of the hotel, I was awoken at 6:30 the following morning by the very loud lift music. Upon then attempting to have a shower, I discovered this was not working. 09:30 and I receive a call from reception stating that the hotel is being evacuated due to “air-con maintenance issues”. Then having waited around reception for several hours, and wasting a day of my holiday, I was told that I would have to spend the rest of my stay in another hotel. The new hotel wasn’t fit for purpose - far away from chosen location, no bath for my young daughter, minuscule room and a very poor child’s bed. I explained to reception that I would prefer another hotel if I had to be moved. They said this wasn’t possible. As a result, I requested a refund so that I could book another hotel of my choosing. They said I’d need to contact Expedia, but I could always book another hotel in the meantime and apply for a refund later (thankfully I didn’t do that!) Having then spoken to Expedia, they said it was up to the hotel to issue the refund. Expedia attempted to contact the hotel several times to no avail, and I have been refused a refund. I had no choice but to stay in the alternative hotel, as otherwise I’d have paid for two lots of accommodation. Very poor advice from the ARCadia staff in suggesting I book another hotel and claim for a refund later. I would still like my refund.

Myself and my partner recently stayed at the Arcadia for a 5 night city break. We chose a room with a supreme queen bed, and were amazed to see that the room was huge, almost like a suite! There was lots of space for our things, and a large bathroom too! Another thing that was great was that there were plenty of electric sockets for charging etc. The hotel is very centrally situated, with pubs and restaurants nearby, and is only a 5 minute walk from St Stephen’s Basilica. The hotel staff were pleasant and helpful. We decided to add on breakfast for 2 days, and it was very nice, mostly continental but with some cooked items too. There was lots of choice. I would recommend staying here, and would stay again if I return to Budapest!

Location was unreal. Perfect and within distance of train and trams Beds were too hard and made it difficult sleeping Had one issue with room which the staff were sooo quick to resolve

I really liked the location of the hotel as the transportation is very convenient in this area. The room was always clean, however may need some renovation of the washroom. I did not like while showering how the water suddenly turned burning hot. That was hazardous and has been reported.

I had the best check in experience with Soli. He was so lovely, recommended places for me to go, gave me a nicer room and overall every time I walked into ARCadia I was greeted with a smile. Genuinely my time in Budapest could not have been better. The staff are there 24/7 and even when I’d booked a hotel room half an hour before getting there, both staff were so attentive and understanding. My room was stunning, the location was amazing. I would most definitely stay here again if I visit Budapest again. 5/5 all around, can’t thank the staff of ARCadia enough.

I ordered a single room with double bed . The guys in the reception said this is hotels.com website bug and the single room is only one single bed and not what I ordered. I had to add money to “upgrade” to big bed (the one that I ordered and paid already)

A very quaint, comfortable, clean hotel in a great location. Staff are absolutely awesome in every way, ie very efficient checkin, very helpful and friendly. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

În cameră nu erau prosoape și a trebuit să solicităm acest lucru de la recepție! Surprinzător a fost faptul că ni s-a spus că nu ni se vor aduce Acele prosoape și trebuie să le luăm noi de la Recepție! Curățenia a lăsat de dorit, Fiind fire de păr atât în baie cat și în cameră În momentul în care deschideai frigiderul Mirosea puternic a brânză și a șuncă! În mijlocul nopții se auzea puternic muzică și alte zgomote!

The location of the hotel was perfect. The value for the price matched the room was very large but the bed was clearly uncomfortable, old and the mattress was bad, also and especially the towels in the room did not look clean and were very old. The hotel does not appear to be eligible for the 4-star rating. I will not return to it despite the perfect location

Lovely hotel, noisy street.
We had a lovely 3 day stay at the Arcadia hotel. Service was great and room nice and clean. Our only problem was the noise. The first night we were woken up by homeless shouting for hours. The second night someone collecting glass bins in the street. The windows are very thin and we could hear everything regardless of how high up we were. Lovely hotel but the noise ruined it slightly.

This property was nice and clean but noisy at night and although it says the rooms are soundproof you can here everything going on outside, so don't stay here you are a light sleeper. There is a bar which was very nice but was only open twice during our stay and was shut on the Saturday night even though when we asked the bar staff it should be open every day. The hotel staff offer good recommendations on restaruants and will book tables and taxis for you. It is in a good position for bars as there are plenty just outside and St Stephens Basilica is only 10 minutes walk away.

Perfectly situated in the city center and across from the Christmas market. Access to the metro and buses are super easy and close by (within 3-5 minutes walk). The staff are friendly and helpful especially if you need guidance around the city. The room we got is decent a little on the small side but its just what we needed. Thank you!

Worst stay i had in 20 years
We stayed for 4 nights. Tye room was very small. No room for suitcase, our friends had a bigger room. There was no pressure in the shower, and water stopped alotogether on the middle of shower at 11 pm. For our friends the air con was oh cold and bo sufficient solution was found. Thia was worst room i stayed in Europe.
