This two-story home is wonderful for getting around on foot, with bustling Main Street (one block), the Bucksport Waterfront Walkway on the Penobscot River (one block), and the Maine Maritime Academy Center for Professional Mariner Development (one mile) all reachable on foot. Yet, it's also the perfect home base for exploring, with Castine (17 miles), Belfast (18 miles), Bangor (19 miles), and Acadia National Park (35 miles) just a few of the attractions within an easy, scenic drive. In many ways, this home is an ideal blend of proximity to nature and familiar creature comforts. After a day spent hiking, kayaking, or sailing, return home to unwind on the deck, relax in a bit of air conditioning, or log onto the high-speed WiFi to share photos or catch up on email.
