Hotel rooms in serious need of renovations. Lots of damage all over the room. No heat for the first night. Offered extra blankets by front desk. Open ceiling by bathroom led us to believe the heat was under repair. Kitchen had nothing in it. No dishes etc. we had to ask front desk for basic supplies several times and it was quite a challenge to get even basic items. Location is ok. A few good restaurants near by. I wouldn’t recommend this place.

Great check-in and check-out experience, big room, comfortable bed, plenty of storage space, hot shower and heating working fine, the bathroom had a bidet shower. The room didn't had a microwave or coffee/tea appliances, only a mini fridge with drinks to purchase. Bathroom could have been cleaner and some fixtures and the shower body/tub needed repair/renovation.

GOOD
+The location was good and not far from the old town, 20 min walk to old town--- +Accommodation was suitable, spacious and clean. The beds were quite solid +Staff very friendly and helpful + There is a 24 hour shop near the hotel -We were in a double room with a nice terrace, but we could not enjoy it. Unfortunately, they had left us only one chair. -Upon our arrival we tried to park down our car, but their underground parking had such a terrible construction that we stuck on something that scratched bad the bottom of our car. I recommend you be careful at the entrance of parking.

Secure parking, friendly staff, not too clean
Underground parking was great, as it’s difficult to find anything on the street close by to the hotel. 24 hour reception was great, they let us park early in the morning so we could explore the city before check in. We booked the 2 bedroom apartment because it was the cheapest room avaliable. There was money on the couch and biscuits on the floor. The shower head in the main bathroom was broken, and the shower in the en-suite leaked all over the floor, was covered in mould and the shower head kept falling down to point at the wall. Dirtiest shower I have used in the Balkans (have been travelling for 3 weeks now). We couldn’t get the air conditioning to work- it kept pumping out hot air, so we slept with the doors (the windows are doors) open and that was fine. Good location to walk to old town. Very friendly reception- all 3 staff we meet spoke excellent English and were very helpful. To be fair to the hotel we did not report the bathroom issues or the heating. But if the used the shower head to clean with they would already know it was broken.

Ok but not great.
Our room was good and clean. The kitchen was not stocked - there was not even a glass. There is a note saying to ask at reception for the items needed which was a pain in the butt. We had a corner unit and had 3 sets of door that opened to the outside. One set was in our bathroom, which wa# great. Our friends unit was smalle4 with no window in the bathroom. They said the bathroom smelled bad. There were rodent noises though at night. I think there was a mouse in the walls. The sofa is very uncomfortable to sit on and the cushions keep slipping off.

Unfortunately this place can't receive a positive review due to the lack of care and respect the people working there are showing towards their guest. My sheets were also dirty upon my arrival. Very disappointing.

Better for Tourists
Most of the business hotels in Bucharest were taken due to EU presidency so I wound up here. I think it would be a good hotel for family and couples for tourism. It was OK for business, but a little off the beaten path. Service acceptable but not what one would be used to at a Hilton or Radisson, for example. Reasonable but not my first choice

Clean property, very friendly and helpful staff. The room was a little bit outdated and small, but the bed was very comfortable. The room had plenty of closet space. Bathroom had lots of towels and complimentary shampoo, foaming gel and soap. The room had a mini fridge, two glasses for water, but no microwave. The building has a very small elevator. The rooms are not noise proof, you can hear noises from outside and the other rooms easily.

Good choice for city explorer
A hotel with friendly staff, in a quieter area, public transport on the next corner, but city center can also reached on foot. Lot of information for day trips etc available, too Room was clean and spacious, breakfast tasty and you get 10% discount in the restaurant on the other side of the street... I definitely will consider this place for my next stay!

The room was nice, very spacious and had a cute little balcony which I did not expect so that was a nice surprise. Plenty of storage space. The staff at reception were always so friendly and helpful. The restaurant next door was delicious and good value. It’s about a 30 minute walk to the old town but Uber’s are quicker and cheap!! I really enjoyed my stay here.

Good location within easy walking distance of old town. Good WiFi. Secure underground parking. Spacious 2 bed apartment. Seemed to be some issues with drainage/toilet as the smell in the bathroom was quite unpleasant. Squeaky bed. No crockery, cutlery, kettle, toaster etc. available in kitchen however, on asking at reception specific items were arranged.

Horrible hotel in a bad neighborhood
The woman who checked us in could hardly be bothered to get off the phone to address us. She was rude and very unhelpful. The room was large, but very dirty and I was afraid to sit on the couch. It looks like some kind of old Soviet barracks. The light in the staircase up to the room is on a motion sensor and didn't even illuminate the hall half the time, so it was very creepy. It is in a nasty part of town. I didn't feel safe here. Give this one a pass...

Received room key and opened room door to find garbage strewn on the floor, towels wet and not switched with clean towels. The room hadn't even been cleaned at 3PM check-in. Front Desk provided another room which was smaller but, at least clean.

Three Star Hotel Residence
Hotel room was OK but nothing special. At least it wasn't dirty like the first time I checked in a week earlier. Trash on the floor, towels wet and dirty and room not even cleaned after the departure of previous renter. Location is good and but certainly no higher than 3 stars.

Pleasant, quiet hotel with helpful staff
+ Very friendly and helpful staff, available at all times to book breakfast, taxis etc. Spoke English well which is always a plus. + Large air-conditioned rooms, beds were comfortable enough for a week's stay. + Good location with a shop 2 minutes walk away. + Lots to do e.g. Therma spa (water park, pools, sunbathing, cocktails) around 20-30 minutes to the bus stop and 45 minute bus ride but well worth it! + Excellent Italian restaurant downstairs! - Rooms were a little dusty and there were used shampoo/shower gels left in the shower from previous guest. - Whilst a convenient location for our visit, it was a little outside of the tourist area - tube stations and plazas were around 30 minutes walk away. Would also not want to walk through the area at night if I was alone (but perhaps that is something to do with being in a new city) so used Uber sometimes (£2 a trip!)

Perfect way to wrap up our Romania stay!
We had an amazing stay at the Hemingway Residence! The first night we had a small blip of a problem with the shower, but it was fixed as soon as we mentioned it! The service was spectacular, the room was spacious and had an amazing view, the staff was helpful and friendly, and the location was convenient. Even the Italian restaurant downstairs was delicious. Would definitely stay again.

Quiet, comfortable hotel close to the city center
Tucked behind the intersection of Calea Mosilor and Blvd. Carol I, the Hemingway Residence is a hidden gem for travelers. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with floor-to-ceiling French doors that let in a lot of light. We stayed in a junior suite (living room with kitchenette, bedroom with plenty of closet space, and bathroom), which was spotless and more than met our needs. There is parking under the building (a big plus in a city where street parking is hard to find).

I enjoyed my stay
The hotel was very quiet. Don't normally stay in an apartment, but I wanted some space after spending he rest of the week crossing Europe on the train. The kitchen area could have done with some more utensils, and a kettle, but the coffee filter machine was just what I needed. I loved having 2 balconies. The hotel is a little way out from the Old Town, but has good public transport links with bus stops and a tram stop nearby. The Metro at Universitate is just under a 15 minute walk away. There are restaurants nearby but the give the Italian one linked to the hotel a miss, the food is mediocre and the staff are next to useless!

It was a truly comfortable stay. The staff is extremely kind and caring, and always there for you. Rooms are so spacious that you feel like you are in a real apartment. Clean and cozy, featuring a big bed. Really good concept hotel - it makes you feel at home. Free coffee in the morning is like a cherry on the top. I would recommend the hotel to anyone / for a longer or shorter stay, the center city is just 5-10min taxi ride from there. And there is an excellent restaurant right next to the hotel.

The hotel is an apartment building that was changed into a hotel. all the rooms are suites. with that said, there is no common areas, gym, basic amenities besides a cheap packaged bar of soap and shampoo. no coffee/Tea or any thing else there. Underground garage is great. a must in Bucharest. For anything less than 3 nights, i would reconsider.
