There were unexpected amenities like the restaurant and shop on site. There was a beach volley ball court. The pool was large and had nice shady areas. There was a snack shop/bar at the pool as well. My only critique was that the unit could have been cleaner. There was some dust and spots that were missed while vacuuming. That being said, I would stay there again. It also appeared that the property was building a new walkway that was even closer to the rental. We’ve been to Jekyll many times, so we knew the area. The down side was that most of the furniture needs to be replaced. You sank down in the loveseat in the living area, so it wasn’t easy to stand up, even for the 35 year olds. The other loveseat was outdoor wicker furniture, and although sturdy, the cushions were very flat, so it was not very comfortable. The photos on VRBO do not accurately depict the current furniture set up. It also needs a good cleaning. Our son-in-law dripped some water on the floor, and when he wiped it up with a paper towel, the towel was very dirty. You could see the dirt in the corners of the kitchen floor. It was like dirty water had dried there. The shower in the lower level bathroom was completely clogged the first time it was used. We called the management company, who called the property, and maintenance was sent out very quickly. They were able to clear the clog, but we wondered how the shower was cleaned and no one noticed it would not drain. Inspite of these issues, we did enjoy our stay, and we do like the overall property. However, we will probably not rent this unit again, unless we can see that updates have been done. ##### Scott C. We had initially planned to get married on Driftwood Beach, but thanks to Jekyll Realty- they provided us with a high and low tide schedule. I took my mom along this time and my girls and my aunt also went. It was a great trip. The beach is so peaceful. If you're looking to stay on the beach all day, you do have to drive as during high tide there is no access. There are so many things to do tho. Horseback riding isn't far, and you can rent bicycles right at the Villas. That's really convenient. There's also a pool so the teens loved that.
