They cancelled our reservation after we had checked in and in the middle of Friday night, another guest keyed our room. Then the front desk called and demanded to know who I was, and our key cards didn't work then next morning. I didn't sleep well all weekend. Will never stay here again. Besides all of that the place was dirty and run down.

We've stayed here for several years on our way to and from Florida. We like the location, the restaurant within walking distance, etc. However, in the last couple of years we've noticed a definite degrading of maintenance. We're seeing chipped and peeling paint, tired looking bathrooms, etc. The place needs a general facelift. Otherwise, service is very good and the employees are excellent.

When I first arrived we were saddened to see the pool was closed for the season. The indoor pool is why we selected this hotel in the first place. Then we went to our room and there was already someone in there when I walked in. Got a new room and it wasn’t accessible like requested. The front desk had to use a translator on her phone to communicate with housekeeping to see if any rooms were clean. Another guest came up and said only one light bulb in their room worked. The tiles were loose in the bathroom floor, the seal around the toilet broken. The shower was stained yellow. Overall I was just glad I was only there one night because I couldn’t wait to leave.

Property needs a few updates pool was out of commission because of a recent sale of the hotel property it was not safe. Overall the hotel was clean and we felt safe and the staff was very friendly.

Room was pretty bad, heating and air conditioning unit was rusty and dirty we decided not to use it. Bathroom is a mess with rust, cracked floor tiles, warped wood, broken faucet etc. Don’t think they dust very often. Window frames are cracked and dirty. Not worth the money.

Overall the stay was fine but the condition of my room just needs a little renovating. The shower tub was in need of repair. Curtain would not close because rod was bent downward. Also this hotel is about 8 miles from a golf mecca (Sea Island) and the TV did not have Golf Channel. Also no bews channels were available.

I already had a bad feeling when walked in should have went with gut. But the outside looked nice. Then took elevator to 2cd floor. Got off and it smelt like bug spray. Got to the room checked for bedbugs surprisingly there was none. Went to go sit on toilet and out came a roach from under the sink. Got up killed the roach took it to front desk and asked for my money back. Next time I will use cash because of course it takes 3-5 business days to get your money back. The people were sketchy. Went across way to Holiday Inn where I stayed 2 nights with no isssues.

When I booked I asked for a pet room, I thought. I specifically asked Expedia for hotels that except pets. I didn’t see the 50$ fee. I have a certified support pet. I lost a child to suicide almost 3 years ago and Sasha goes everywhere with me. All hotels I’ve stayed at wave pet fee. Not this one. I didn’t mind paying, but i would have included it in my budget.

Needs updating !
We have stayed in this hotel many times over the years and this time I was very disappointed in the over all care of the building and grounds . I called and asked if the pool and hot tub was working this year and was told it was .. when I arrived, the pool was ice cold and the hot tub was broken . Our bathroom had mold all over the ceiling and the paint was peeling off in clumps . The carpet was beyond filthy . The bed was very comfortable and the staff was very friendly . Hotel needs attention and so sorry to watch it go downhill .

Awful decision.
Upon arrival there was debris everywhere all over the floor. If they would have had a vacuum in the closet, I would have felt compelled to clean it myself. I literally kept my shoes on in the room because the thought of taking them off grossed me out. There was also only one toilet paper roll in the bathroom, no spare roll on hand. I will say it did thankfully last us our stay though. There was dirt and grime on the walls in general and I’m pretty sure there was a dirty handprint on the bathroom wall. The refrigerator had a pool of water at the bottom of it, but it did keep the drinks cold. The sheets had dirty spots on them upon arrival. The one thing I will say in favor of the room was that the inside of the shower and the toilet were clean. All this being said, I couldn’t get out of the room fast enough, but needed some food for the kids before hitting the road. We went downstairs for an extremely awkward encounter. We came to get breakfast right before and then into breakfast time ending. I literally had an employee standing in the room with food and then the second I left the room shut the doors. No polite warning to grab what we needed before shutting the doors. She then proceeded to clean around us, no big deal, but here is when the very awkward encounter continues, we are starting to clean up our space in the dining room and she puts her hand on the light switch and and stares at us until everything is clean and we walk away. We definitely won’t be back!

Don’t have anything good to say about this property. We received one toilet paper roll for the 3 night stay. Every morning we had to ask for extra. Why can’t they just give us 2-3 and be done with it? Breakfast was not good either. Every morning I would go there they would be out of coffee. You ask them to refill they say ok and they just stand behind their desk. The overall the area is ok. The room had traces of mold. The carpet definitely needs a good deep cleaning. Usually I don’t leave reviews but this one I could not miss it.

The hotel appears to have received an exterior renovation, but the interior spaces are definitely needing some tlc. The bathroom door has so much water damage that it barely closes. The hotel staff do their job, but don't go out of their way to make a guest feel welcome. The hotel staff allowed guests to be very loud into the early hours of the morning. My recommendation is to avoid this hotel unless management makes some changes. There are better places to stay in the area.

Overall the room was dirty! Burn carpet, smelly and ripped curtains. And to top it all off when checking out ( next day) I mentioned to the front desk about the issues that I saw and they said that the knew about! And they still booked me in the room, crazy. But I have to say Custumer service and staff was very good unfortunately their facility wasn’t well kept.
