It was clean but not as pristine as a previous stay. Allow for a lot of extra time in either of the showers you use to accommodate the low water pressure. Our reason for visiting Brownsville was to see Starbase which did not disappoint. One day we drove to South Padre Island. This rental is modern, relaxing, and a great place to spend a vacation. The rental was gorgeously decorated. The bed was extremely comfortable, also with a great view and private balcony. We were missing kitchen towels for drying dishes but there were paper towels. The shampoo and conditioner seemed left over from previous renters and there was no body wash in the main bathroom but I always travel with my own. The shower is a rainfall type with no pressure which some people prefer and my husband said the other shower had low pressure as well. There were plenty of kitchen supplies for cooking at home and we discovered some good local Mexican restaurants. There also was no detergent for the washer and dryer located in the unit.
