This sweet little home will easily accommodate 5 people. It has a bedroom with a queen bed as well as a loft with a full size bed and twin floor mattress. There is a lovely full size marble bathroom and well equipped kitchen. The open living room kitchen area has a cozy propane operated fireplace. After a short walk you will find our Mercantile store, our Traveler’s trunk boutique and beautiful natural pool for swimming and relaxation. Every child 5 and under, or any non swimmer, must provide their own life jacket when in or around the pond. If any non swimmers are occupying the space without a life-jacket, they will be asked to leave the area. The natural pool’s beauty and tranquility is complete with a lovely waterfall and our pet Koi! The Koi are always eagerly awaiting their koi treats from our guests. These treats can be purchased from our small Mercantile store along with horse treats, rabbit treats and bird treats. The mercantile also has snacks, local beverages and honey along with camp cooking supplies you may have forgotten. Our fun little travelers trunk boutique has some interesting finds from our travels as well as local homemade items! There is a natural pool, swinging tree hammocks, children’s playground, bistro tables everywhere, coin op laundry mat with 2 washers and 2 dryers and plenty of farmland to explore! We border the lush and lovely Hammond Hill State forest. If you love cross country skiing, mountain biking and walks we border You have access to miles of state trails!! The barns and pastures are restricted from guests’ entrance. Scottland Yard community consists of several small clustered homesteads. Each Sunday is ‘Sunday Funday’ BBQ at Scottland Yard from 2-8pm. Monday-Thursdays from 2-6pm we have family swimming at Scottland Yard. Our guests often join us for this joyful time. If you happen to arrive or are enjoying the facilities during these hours, please know that you’re welcome to join us if you wish! There are over 200 wineries in the Fingerlakes Region and many are within an hours drive. The closest one to us is Six Mile Creek Vineyard about 5 miles away. Visit waterfalls or state parks such as Buttermilk Falls, Taughannock, Robert H. Treman, Ithaca Falls. We really like the idea of the honor system and guests can settle up their purchases via different forms of payment at time of purchase. No exceptions. Rules \-Swim at own risk- no lifeguard on duty \-Dishes used by you are to be washed, dried and put away after each use. \-No smoking in the tent! Ashtrays provided on property \-Pets fee is $35.00 per night per pet. They must be on leash at all times. \-Pets must get along with other pets and children. \-Pets may do their business in the nearby field. If business is done on the lawn it’s up to the owner to pick up and discard poop. \-Your pet must be crated inside if you leave him/her for any length of time. – If you are bringing an infant under 2 you must provide all their bed and bedding needs or they may sleep with you. – Minimum 2 night stay if Booking on a Friday – Quiet time begins at 10:00 PM. There are fireworks (that can be heard) nearby at the neighbors homestead. Our July 4th weekend guests are invited to attend the neighborhood display. The display is not on our property. Our farm is located close enough that the fireworks are still loud. Scottland Yard Farm is a hand made thoughtful gem of a place to stay. The wildflowers and animals make it feel like a fairy tale. Our kids loved the pool and feeding the koi fish. The beds were comfortable, but we did need to bring two twin size air mattresses to accommodate our family. These fit easily in the loft. The whole place would be great to rent with other families for a joint vacation or event. Thank you Duane and Andrea for an unforgettable experience. ##### Jill A. The cozy farm cottage provided plenty of privacy, especially with the deck facing the woods. We loved spending time with the friendly farm animals—petting and feeding the horses. There were also chickens, pigs, and sheep. We came in the winter right before the new year. We practically had the farm to ourselves.
