Make your reservations today for a memorable getaway.\` Wilderness Retreat is a spacious 1600 sq ft cabin tucked away in the Carson Creek area near Broken Bow Lake and the Beavers Bend Resort Park. The wraparound porch and covered front deck area helps visitors enjoy the picturesque scenery that only this area can offer. The open floor plan allows for large gatherings in the living room enjoying a movie around the gas burning fireplace or sitting at the large island in the kitchen as your favorite meal is being prepared. The kitchen is fully stocked with dishes, cookware, blender, toaster, and a coffeemaker for those early risers. There is also a full size washer and dryer for your convenience. There are two bedrooms with queen size beds each on the 1st and 2nd level of the cabin. There are also two full hallway baths on each level perfectly convenient for guest use. There is a full size bed with twin bunk in the loft area/game room. The upstairs game room is ideal for indoor entertainment on those rainy, cool days as it boasts a pool table, bunks, and lots of sitting area. The entertainment doesn’t stop inside as you will find the hot tub, grill, and fire pit out back. The large deck is perfect for sitting outside enjoying that first sip of coffee in the morning or a nightcap at the end of an adventurous day on the lake. Right off the deck area, you will enjoy sitting comfortably in one of the Adirondack chairs surrounding the fire pit. Nothing beats a cool night by the fire under a star-studded sky. Wilderness Retreat is perfect for families vacationing together or a group of friends needing a quick getaway. While you’re staying with us you’ll never be at a loss for things to do whether you’re trekking through the park on the many breathtaking trails, horseback riding, fly fishing or boating around the lake. Guests may have two (2) small dogs with a $20 per night non-refundable pet fee. All dogs must be kenneled if left alone in the cabin. Pets are not allowed on the furniture or in/on the beds otherwise additional cleaning fees may apply. During your stay you will have access to all unlocked areas of the property. Cabinets, closets, and any outbuildings which are locked are not available for guest use. The amenities provided for each cabin are for the use of that cabin only. You will also have use of the following at each Kiamichi Cabin: \- Fire pit – firewood not provided \- Free Wi-Fi \- Grill – most properties have a charcoal grill, a few still have gas grills. \- Hot Tub \- Washer and Dryer We use express check-in and checkout. Our goal is for you to have the least amount of interaction with our staff as possible. If some issue does arise, we will work to keep interruptions to a necessary minimum. Located in the heart of Kiamichi country lies the incomparable splendor of Broken Bow, Oklahoma. Surrounded by the natural beauty of Beaver’s Bend State Park, the Ouachita National Forest and the Kiamichi Mountains, this is the place to lose yourself in hunting, fishing, hiking, canoeing. The place to find yourself while surrounded by tall pines, crisp rivers and clean mountain air. The place to make memories that you will draw on for a lifetime. The Beavers’ Bend / Hochatown area does not have public transportation. There is at this time a private ride share company that will pick up and drop off between most cabins and area attractions, restaurants, shopping, etc. There is currently not any Uber or Lyft options. All cabins located in the Hochatown area are 5 to 15 minutes from most destinations around the lake and park. This of course depends on traffic. Summer and other peak holidays experience higher traffic, typically Fridays after 2pm and Saturdays between 10am and 4pm. Offpeak weekends and midweek stays should expect shorter traffic times Cabins located further north of Hochatown are an additional 15 to 30 minutes from the Hochatown area. This additional distance should not be impacted by traffic. The park and lake itself are free to enter, there is however a fee to park. During peak periods you should plan on a wait at most restaurants. This Property is dog Friendly - Please see the following for restrictions/ guidelines/ fees. \* 2 dogs maximum \* weight limit of 80 lbs for a single dog or Check in time is 4PM or later. Check out time is 11AM. Additional fee of $100 will apply to late check-outs unless otherwise approved. All cabins are Non-smoking. RVs, Campers, and Tents are not allowed to be used on cabin property, overcrowding fees will apply. ATV and similar vehicles are not allowed to be ridden on the cabin property. The use of Fireworks and/ or Guns is prohibited on cabin property. Hot tub covers are to remain in place when not in use. Do not stand, sit, dance, or otherwise use the cover for anything other than its intended purpose. Pets are welcome at Kiamichi Cabins on a Cabin by Cabin Basis with the following restrictions: Maximum of two (2) dogs. If bringing a single dog, the weight limit is 80lbs. If bringing 2 dogs, the weight limit per dog is 40lbs. No dogs are to be left unattended. All dogs must be kenneled if left at cabin. Dogs are not allowed on the beds or on the furniture. An additional fee of $20 per night will apply - regardless of how small or cute your dog is. It is hard to find with GPS but the host answered right away and gave better directions to cabin. The host answered right away with most issues. The hot tub was hot but smelled a little funny. I’d maybe leave a jar of chlorine on site to add to water with each use. We stayed at a cabin last year there and that’s what they did kept water cleaner. Had to call the property manager and he stayed on the phone until we found the house. You could hear road noise, but brought a small fan to drown out the noise. Does not have gas grill that is pictured. Floors were clean looking but our white socks turned very brown by the end of the first night. Beds are so soft you sink into the middle of the bed, not a ton of cooking essentials. Most of the pans the Teflon was major scratched from metal utensils. Making cooking challenging, unless you’re ok with using them. You also need to purchase firewood if using the fire pit. ##### Amy R. The mattresses need to be replaced. They sink down in the middle. The buttons to operate the coffee pot and the dishwasher are worn out. The AC felt like it was struggling to keep the cabin cool. Everything there to play ping pong except the ping pong ball…all the skillets are scratched really bad and not worth using. Tree limbs hanging really low right where you park need to be trimmed. The doors leading to the porches (the side door and front door) needed to be wiped down - especially the side door was filthy. There was just too much to list it all. For the price, I was definitely disappointed. About the only thing good was the location. It’s very convenient to everything. We’ll pick a different cabin next time. ##### Shawn C. Pros- Plenty of Space and rooms inside cabin, Firepit is relaxing but beware within 10ft a very large propane tank, Pillows were very soft. TV in living room has plenty of options and DVDplayer. Cons- Hot tubs jets & lights do not work. Wrap around porch doesnt have chairs or seating. Coffee pot button worn off. Kitchen sink sprayer broken, downstairs bedroom bed is very uncomfortable, Not secluded to have much privacy and feel like your in the woods or wilderness. Huge bowling alley directly behind the cabin, You can hear cars and trucks driving on the highway/main road all night. And you are surrounded by other people/ cabins. There arent rocking chairs downstairs which are in photos, etc. The downstairs bathrub drain plug is also broeken so you cant have a bath if wanted. Kitchen microwave above stove is broken including fan and lighting. Only 3 chairs provided by the outdoor fiepit. The hot tub was broken we could not utilize it, the upstairs bathroom fan was broke, we were short supplies to last for a week. We ran out of toilet paper and trash sacks. When walking in the floors weren’t clean either. Lots of dirty upon arrival. Had to mop the floors ourselves because it was turning our feet black. Also the security was questionable as the doors were not secure by the frame well. A lot of the tiles were broken as well so you had to watch where you stepped. We visit broken bow pretty often and this cabin was by far the worst. Hopefully it’s cleaned better for the next person. Also we booked a cabin that was supposed to have a king in one room and that was not the case. Also a gas grill was advertised and there was NOT one on the property. Trying to get to our cabin was not fun. Driving around in the dark and having our phones take us to the wrong place because we had the wrong address was not a fun start to our vacation. After calling and getting told over the phone how to get to the cabin, we finally arrived. The cabin was great. Very comfy and just as dedcribed on the site. The WiFi didn't work for a few days but we managed. We also couldn't enjoy the firepit because the smell of the septic tank was unbearable! This was a bummer because we bought wood and looked forward to roasting marshmallows and sitting by the fire. Overall though the cabin was nice and we enjoyed the beautiful little town and the restaurants that we visited. ##### David S. Things are very dated. A lot of kitchen things need to be replaced. There was nothing but a small swing to sit on the big wrap around deck/porch. There are four Adirondack chairs around fire pit. Two of them very rickety. And a rickety picnic table. Quite a few light bulbs in house needed replacing. The hot tub is in bad need of being replaced. Badly needed chemicals, we only got in once. Matters on main floor needs to be replaced, it sinks in middle. I use VRBO all the time and this is the first time I was very disappointed. ##### Pam F. Really close to bowling alley and main Rd so if noise bothers you it might be an issue but everything worked and was advertised. Pool table needs to be redone and ping pong table doesn't work. Everything was clean and owners were very responsive.
