Enjoy the level grassy lot, fireflies at night, and outdoor amenities like a grill, picnic table, and fire pit. Inside, find a comfortable king bed and a pullout for kids. Explore nearby activities like lake trips, trout streams, kayaking, and more. Ample parking for boats and trailers. Please note that this cabin does not allow pets.\` Sunshine Place sits nestled into the trees alongside a small mossy creek bank. The covered front porch is a great spot to catch the early morning sun with a steaming cup of coffee in hand. But after that, Sunshine Place spends the rest of the day covered in dappled sunlight and shadows. This little 1 bedroom cabin is an ideal getaway for families with kids – the level grassy lot makes it easy for the kids to run around with parents able to keep an eye on them. Many evenings, the fireflies shine around the cabin, inviting you to a game of catch me if you can. A charcoal grill, picnic table, and fire pit mean evenings spent together sharing stories and laughter. After the embers die, find your way inside to the comfortable king bed, and for the kids there is a full size pullout. Wake up in the morning to the smell of breakfast being prepared in the ready to cook kitchen – then head out to the lake, or trout streams, or kayaking, or horseback rides – all within a few miles of your cozy Sunshine Place getaway. The cabin is off a paved side road and has a large parking area that is suitable for boat or ATV trailers. This cabin is NOT pet friendly During your stay you will have access to all unlocked areas of the property. Cabinets, closets, and any outbuildings which are locked are not available for guest use. The amenities provided for each cabin are for the use of that cabin only. You will also have use of the following at each Kiamichi Cabin: \- Fire pit – firewood not provided \- Free Wi-Fi \- Grill – most properties have a charcoal grill, a few still have gas grills. \- Hot Tub \- Washer and Dryer We use express check-in and checkout. Our goal is for you to have the least amount of interaction with our staff as possible. If some issue does arise, we will work to keep interruptions to a necessary minimum. Staff and management are local to the area. Directions & access code are sent out a week prior to arrival using one of the following methods: Kiamichi Cabins Website or Agent Bookings – information will be emailed one week prior to scheduled arrival. VRBO / Expedia Family - – information will be emailed one week prior to scheduled arrival. AirBNB - – information will be sent through the AirBNB messaging app one week prior to scheduled arrival. Our office is not open after 5pm or on weekends – emails are not checked regularly during this time. For fastest response to questions or concerns please call or text the contact numbers listed in your cabin. Located in the heart of Kiamichi country lies the incomparable splendor of Broken Bow, Oklahoma. Surrounded by the natural beauty of Beaver’s Bend State Park, the Ouachita National Forest and the Kiamichi Mountains, this is the place to lose yourself in hunting, fishing, hiking, canoeing. The place to find yourself while surrounded by tall pines, crisp rivers and clean mountain air. The place to make memories that you will draw on for a lifetime. The Beavers’ Bend / Hochatown area does not have public transportation. There is at this time a private ride share company that will pick up and drop off between most cabins and area attractions, restaurants, shopping, etc. There is currently not any Uber or Lyft options. All cabins located in the Hochatown area are 5 to 15 minutes from most destinations around the lake and park. This of course depends on traffic. Summer and other peak holidays experience higher traffic, typically Fridays after 2pm and Saturdays between 10am and 4pm. Offpeak weekends and midweek stays should expect shorter traffic times Cabins located further north of Hochatown are an additional 15 to 30 minutes from the Hochatown area. This additional distance should not be impacted by traffic. The park and lake itself are free to enter, there is however a fee to park. During peak periods you should plan on a wait at most restaurants. This property is NOT pet friendly. Check in time is 4PM or later. Check out time is 11AM. Additional fee of $100 will apply to late check-outs unless otherwise approved. All cabins are Non-smoking. RVs, Campers, and Tents are not allowed to be used on cabin property, overcrowding fees will apply. ATV and similar vehicles are not allowed to be ridden on the cabin property. The use of Fireworks and/ or Guns is prohibited on cabin property. Hot tub covers are to remain in place when not in use. Do not stand, sit, dance, or otherwise use the cover for anything other than its intended purpose. Pets are welcome at Kiamichi Cabins on a Cabin by Cabin Basis with the following restrictions: Maximum of two (2) dogs. If bringing a single dog, the weight limit is 80lbs. If bringing 2 dogs, the weight limit per dog is 40lbs. No dogs are to be left unattended. All dogs must be kenneled if left at cabin. Dogs are not allowed on the beds or on the furniture. An additional fee of $20 per night will apply - regardless of how small or cute your dog is. It is minute or two drive from Broken Bow lake and river giving you access to both. The home was clean and the bed comfortable. There is a hot tub and fire pit though we spent our time exploring the area and did not try them. We saw a deer both mornings we were there. Well the TV was a pathetic excuse for a tv. 19 inches good lord, as much as we paid to stay per night u wud think there would be at least a 30 inch man. That really upset me as it was one of the major reasons we came. Second was the lack of privacy in the hot tub. There is a partial good view to the main rd, neighbors rite next to u that can see, and behind u that may be blinded mid summer with brush grown up but not this time of yr. And when the sun is going down is blinding as it shines on half the tub. To get a 5 star i would recommend upgrading the tv, add some shades that can be pulled down for privacy in the tub. Otherwise if ur coming with plans to spend ur time at the lake n outdoors stuff its a nice cabin. But for us wanting to stay in n watch movies n soak in a tub for couples, was not a 5 star. If the cost was lower for the cabin i wud have went ahead n gave 5 star. But i have stayed in cheaper cabins at broken bow that had 55 inch tvs and private tubs so i feel it didnt deserve 5 star for that. ##### Rebecca S. The cabin is okay. It is in need of upkeep and repair. My complaint which skews the review: THE PLACE WAS FILTY. Without going into much 'detail', it was obvious the bathroom was not clean. The rug in front of the toilet was wet. The flooring is peeling up at the seam. The sub-floor swelling. The scent of mold was present. The furnace return was covered in dust a grime. The air exchange was labored for sure. We coughed and sneezed every-time the furnace cycle on. We are not whimps and would have gladly slept in a tent. The floor had not been cleaned in many moons. We spent most of the evening our fist night cleaning. We had to shorten our stay because we just couldn't breath. I called the property manager the next morning and she texted right back. I explained the situation. She said she wasn't sure if she could get someone out. I asked if she was requesting someone for cleaning or repair? Did not hear back from her. Texted to let her know we were checkin out a day early. Nothing.... If the place was clean, I would have given a 3-star rating. ##### RaeLynne H. So inviting, clean, comfy, amazing large deck w/rockers. spent every night at the fire pit, clear starry sky and SO peaceful. Hot Tub was amazing ( be sure to give water 2-4 hrs to warm up ) extra linens, towels, pillows and throw blankets for a cuddle. Local restaurants, Shuck Me, Grateful Head pizza and Buffalo Grill👍S up! This cabin has been our favorite because it’s quiet and off main road but close enough to town for convenience! Kiamichi made the rental process easy. All kitchen needs met..We felt the TV was a bit small for a living room, but cable provided was a bonus. The refrigerator needs attention as the door doesn’t close tight enough, food items were still cold. We still loved the visit and would still rate a 5! Everything from arriving to departing was great. It had everything we needed except coffee, and that wasn't an issue because there was a great shop 3 minutes away.
