Hotel pub très confortable
Bon séjour,le lit était très grand et confortable.Le pub était très sympa,tout comme la campagne environnante.Notre chambre donnait sur le parking mais nous n avons pas été incommodés par le bruit.Le petit-déjeuner était excellent

Assez ordinaire! Un last call en bonne et dû forme avec terrasse dans un stationnement. Correcte pour y passr 1 nuit.

We had a lovely stay at the cross hands old sodbury We checked in and on arrival we where told breakfast was between 7.00 am & 10.00 am So that was fine but on the Saturday we wanted breakfast at 7.00 as we where showing dogs in a dog show at Bath Only to be told breakfast was between 8.00 and 10.00 on a weekend So we had to miss breakfast As we had to leave at 8.00 am Wasn’t happy as I had paid for two breakfasts which we didn’t get

It was a very comfortable room, but a litte dated and scruffy round the edges. the staff were all really good - cheerful (moslty!) and friendly which helps a lot. I had a room on the ground floor which opened into the car park so wasn't keen on leaving the window open - it didn't have a lock 'airing' mode, but not a big deal. It felt safe enough. Food options were ecellent and the meal I had was great value for money.

The woman who checked us in wasn't friendly or helpful. We asked if we could buy a sandwich or anything to eat. The time was 16.45. It said on the details that food was available until 9 pm. The woman told us NO we were too late and there was no tables available for a meal. The skirting boards where chipped, the room was cold, we turned on radiators which had cobwebs on the top and back of them. We asked for a blanket NO BLANKETS. We asked for an extra Duvet NO DUVET. We had to sleep in our thermals. The bed was clean. The young Barman was friendly and all we had to eat was crisps and a drink. We didn't have breakfast.

Not Great
If you’re a light sleeper don’t try this hotel.. Creeking floor boards, thin walls and noisy banging doors will keep you awake. Tired chain hotel with average rooms, dripping taps and broken shower hose. Nice location though…

Lovely room, friendly staff and ticked all the boxes for an overnight stay for work in Bath. Lovely old building which gave a quirkiness that I prefer over a modern, purpose built hotel. High ceilings, sloping floors and beautiful wooden beams. My room had a very comfortable bed and stylish furnishings. And the staff were friendly and helpful. Decor is a little tired and some of the food choices on the menu weren’t available on the night I stayed. Would book again

We checked in and they insisted we pay before we see the room, we now know why. Dirty, unclean rooms, marked tea cups. Bathroom door did not shut nor did shower cubical, door off runners. Noisy and had a musty smell. We nearly didnt stay but were 3 hrs away from home

Don't like cold showers
The hotel itself is decent enough. Room comfortable, but no hot water in the shower in the morning. Reported to reception and met with the standard "I do apologise" which roughly translated means "oh well, not much you can do about that now". Poor.

Good food and beer
My second stay. Ticked all my boxes, comfort, good bed and shower, great steak, well kept beer. As always, maybe 1 more front of house staff member would not go amiss. Everyone friendly and pleasant. Will stay again when next in the area. Love the garden in the sun.

Very accommodating
The staff at cross hands were so accommodating towards my needs this trip. I was attending a wedding that started at 12 and they allowed me to pick up my key on the understanding my room was not yet prepared and so didnt have access so I didnt have to return to check in. A small gesture that was a great help and allowed me to enjoy the day. The room was simple but spacious and came with a fan to help keep cool on a humid night.

Pleasantly surprised
Good food, and friendly staff. Single room was OK although wasn’t keen on the broken window latch for a ground floor room… Plenty of parking and easy to get to, just 15 mins from Bristol..

Poor service
Very poor service was phoned up to let me now no hot water was promised it would be fixed next day no call second day on my arrival back at hotel from work 7 .oclock to find still no hot water only to be told you would have to see manager in morning boiled kettle to fill sink for a wash i booked myself another hotel for the rest of my stay seen manager in morning who gave me a refund for the night i was not staying and £20 for my 2 nights of no hot water
