      Beautiful setting.

      This was a weekend away in one of the most beautiful place in the country, the house and the setting are lovely, there is a wood behind the house we spent time in walking the dogs. We also walked around chew valley lake which is only a couple of miles away. The property is clean quiet and Sue who runs it is lovely, I would recommend this to anyone.

        A cozy and wonderful place to relax for a few days in serene surroundings. Our thanks to Sue for making our trip to the Mendips extremely enjoyable. Should we make it back to this area, this again will make the perfect base from which to explore.

          Perfect for a relaxing break

          Sue was a wonderful welcoming host and the groceries pack was a lovely touch. The annex was superb and very warm, comfortable and well equipped with everything you could need. The location was spot on for taking my dog out straight from the door in to the woods. I highly recommend this property.

            The place to get away and relax!

            My girlfriend and I were looking for somewhere really quiet to escape to for a few days and this fit the bill perfectly! Sue was there to meet us when we arrived and showed us around. The place was spotlessly clean and there was lots of breakfast bits provided for us. The surrounding countryside is really lovely and there was a forest and an old mining chimney right on the doorstep. We loved our stay here and would recommend this to anyone. My only negative comment would be that the bathroom basin was too small and the shower could do with being a bit more powerful. Neither of these things spoiled our stay however and we would happily return. There is Sky TV and broadband available (we had to switch the router off and back on to get the broadband working but after that it worked perfectly). All in all, this was exactly what we were looking for and we couldn't have been more pleased. This is a remote location in the countryside but there are some lovely pubs nearby and the beautiful town of Wells and the lovely Chew Valley Lake are only a short drive away. If you are after peace and quiet then this is the place to stay! Thank you so much Sue.
