Also some amenities that were promised in the listing weren’t in the place such as laundry soap, sponge, and paper towels. Not such a big deal but we arrived late so had to wait until next day to buy the stuff. Weren’t very response the hosts. I told them about these problems and a couple others with no solution. 2 cooking pans scratched and not really usable. Moved a bed and was very dirty below the bed as well. My partner & I had an amazing 2-night stay at the Hamptons retreat on level 77\. It's a stunner! The view really is amazing & the modern decor is splendid, the photos don’t do it justice. We honestly spent hours looking out the window before setting out for the day & then again when settling in for the evening. The master room (set up as a king) is generous in size, & the room by the floor-to-ceiling window (set up as a twin room), although slightly smaller, was also very comfortable for lounging in. The beds were super comfy, the kitchen & bathroom’s very modern with everything you need including a table with chairs, tea & coffee, & the lounge-room is set up with a good size couch & TV. The only minor thing missing from this apartment is a full-length mirror, only to help us check ourselves out before heading to the wedding we were in Brissy for. Unfortunately, the owners had problems with a previous tenant that spilt something that left a stain on the living room carpet & a bit of smell on the lounge, but these things didn’t disturb our stay at all, and will easily be fixed…plus, the communication from the owners was top class from the time of booking. The bottle of wine & chocolates on arrival was also a very nice touch. The location of the apartment is great for everything you need in the city & a super short walk to Riverside, Southbank & the Botanic Gardens. The 77th floor was high enough to see Moreton Island on clear days and to be in the clouds when it's raining. The apartment itself was well equipped, including being stocked with basic living items that other apartments do not seem to consider, such as salt & pepper and cooking oil. The furniture, at the time of writing, felt nice and new. We used the pool on 66th floor which was a good size, though only waste high for adults. This had a very nice BBQ and seating area that if we had more time, might have used. There was also a steam room and small gym. We had the whole area to ourselves for a few hours. My only issues with my overall experience has been the accuracy of information in Expedia. The bedding suggested 1king, 1 twin, 2 large twin and a queen sofa. But the apartment is only 2 bedrooms and the description is not accurate. For us, we had to use the sofa bed as we have 3 kids and not the amount of beds we thought. So this means we all had to have an early night so the kids could sleep. The sofabed is in the main living area with the TV and windows for the view. Communication with the owners was quic and they seemed like nice people. Good that it is as there is no one on site to talk to or help if you need assistance. Our 5 star review is scored due to the location, cleanliness, owner communication and that view. We'd love to go back there.
