Here you will find old Ticinese charm that is so hard to find in the area, yet still able to relax in a well-kept and relaxed atmosphere. Since the house is on the hillside, you should not shy away from stairs. All rooms are south-facing with views of Lake Maggiore and the mountains opposite. The nearly four hundred year old house is renovated, furnished in style and can be centrally heated by a stove. The kitchen leads directly onto the south-facing terrace with views as far as Cannobio. The bedrooms and bathroom are accessible from the back of the house. The bathroom is equipped with high quality and electrically heated. In each bedroom there is a double bed (200 x 180 cm) with two mattresses (200 x 90 cm each, two blankets each with a standard size of 200 x 135 cm). Above the garage there is another terrace where you can admire the panorama in the evening for a long time in the sunshine. The spacious garden is maintained regularly, so that you are surrounded from March by colorful flowers. Behind the house you can retire on a large lawn. In just a few minutes you are in the center of Brione with nice restaurants. It takes about 10 minutes by car or 30 minutes to walk to Locarno. The nearest bus stop is about 200 meters from the house. The picturesque valleys of Ticino can be reached quickly by car. There are countless hiking trails in the immediate vicinity. In spring you can enjoy the camellia and magnolia bloom at a time when it is still gray and cold in the north. In summer, a beach holiday at the Lido in Locarno / Ascona or at the many pools of the rivers next to the extensive cultural offer (https://www.ascona-locarno.com/de/). The house was amazing with a stunning view, just like on a postcard. All convience in the house were super and it was verry clean. We did a lot of walking, swimming and visit several villages. Es gibt unendlich viele schöne Ausflüge von hier aus, ein Auto sollte man allerdings lieber haben, da es auch sehr steil runtergeht in die Stadt. Die Stube ist klein aber urgemütlich eingerichtet, die Küche ist optimal ausgestattet, die Schlafzimmer sind ruhig und blicken über die gesamte Landschaft, sie riechen sehr angenehm und die Betten sowie die gesamte Ausstattung ist von einer sehr guten Qualität und mit sehr viel Liebe ausgesucht. Der Weg um den Haus zu den Schlafzimmern war für uns unproblematisch und genau wie in der Beschreibung. Etwas Vorsicht ist trotzdem bei den unregelmässige Stufen angebracht. Auch sollte man das Lichtsystem erstmal auschecken, der Weg ist dann ausreichend beleuchtet. Auch die Kommunikation mit Ilse war immer schnell und hilfreich. Jedes Zimmer muss separat abgeschlossen werden. Bad und Toilette sind ebenfalls in einem separaten Zimmer. Von der Küche geht es über krude Steinstufen um das Haus herum zu den anderen Zimmern. Trittsicherheit erforderlich! Abends nicht beleuchtet! Keine Info zur Nutzung Boiler Bad oder Kamin. Kein Mülleimer vorhanden. Bei unserer Anreise gab es Bettzeug nur im oberen Schlafzimmer. Das Haus ist gut mit dem ÖV erreichbar und an schönster Aussichtslage. Das alte Haus ist sehr authentisch und doch sehr schön einfach und komfortabel ausgebaut und eingerichtet. Die Nachbarn waren jeweils sehr angenehm. Wandergebiet, Wald und Stadt (Locarno, Ascona) sind unmittelbar erreichbar. Es gibt also keine Privatsphäre. War bei uns okay, da die Gäste sehr freundlich waren. Sauberkeit lässt zu wünschen übrig. Viele Spinnweben und Staub unter dem Bett. Kein natürlicher Schattenplatz vor dem Haus. Küchenausstattung lässt einige Wünsche offen (Toaster, Espressokanne…). Sonst haben wir aber einen sehr schönen Urlaub gehabt. ##### Katja S.
